Re: What color will the new curado be

Yeah, that's not even close. They don't even share the same curves. I doubt the mystery reel was a prototype Curado I.

Re: What color will the new curado be

So it is the Curado I? Maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me because in all the other pictures, the drag star is a dark color and the paint scheme is two-tone. In that picture, it looks like everything is the same color. Also, the reel in that picture has a shiny thumb bar, the Curado I doesn't. D...

That doesn't seem like that much of a price difference between the two rods.

Did anyone ask about the warranty and when the official release will be?

Re: What color will the new curado be

Can add two bearings per knob ... \:D/ That's great. 9+1 bearings should make this reel scream. Also, do you know if the handles are different colors depending on the gear ratio? And if so, what are the colors? In some pics from the Classic, it looks like the Curado I has a dark colored handle whil...

Re: finally...JDM Shimano rods in north america.

Based on the order in which the rods listed on the website, from highest priced down to lowest, it looks like the Expride will be priced above the Cumara A and the Adrena will be the top of the line. I'm already eyeing the 6'10" Medium Expride for a shakeyhead rod, but the medium-fast action has me ...

Re: Personal best largemouth!

Right on man, good job! What bait you catch it on? You ever throw swimbaits? I bet if you put the time in you could get the state record. I'd bet those north Dakota bass haven't seen too many swimbaits... What's the main fish forage/baitfish there? Northern waters are patrolled by bigger and toothi...

Re: finally...JDM Shimano rods in north america.

:-k This should be interesting. Hoping that Adrena stays under $400 and Expride under $300. Warranty will be a BIG plus if this is really happening.

I think I prefer the Silver/Gray of the Curado I. The color should match any rod nicely. 8-)

Re: Swim jig rod

Anything above 6'9" that is Medium Heavy with Fast action should suffice. A spinnerbait rod can effectively be used as a swim jig rod.

Re: DX 703C Gen 1 vs Gen 2

I had a similar experience, but it was with a 2nd generation DX703C. I broke my 2nd gen DX703C and received a replacement straight from Dobyns. The original DX703C said Ex-Fast action on the rod specs that written right on the rod, but the replacement I got said Fast action. I was confused but just ...

Re: New IMX

I've seen a picture of the new IMX rod on the Shimano facebook page. It looks nice. Full cork handle it seems. In another picture, it looks like Robby Gant is using the new Curado with a mystery rod. Is that the IMX too or is it a new rod in the works? Or just an old rod? It can't be anything Shiman...

Re: Curado I

It all depends on the lighting. There can be a bluish tint under certain light conditions. I think it is an optical illusion because there is no blue in the paint or clear coat. Bantam1, you noted that there are no bearings in the handle. Will the design of the handle knob posts allow to add more b...
