Re: ZPI Spool / Inductor rub
Yours shouldn't be rubbing on any of the tdz. Shouldn't rub on the old steez (pre TW) neither. If it does, you might be missing a shim under the bearing on the palming side plate. I believe this is the issue - the bearing had been replaced by a previous user. I have fiddled with the brake side and ...

Re: ZPI Spool / Inductor rub
Using these spools a bunch, and it is indeed the inductor that is rubbing on the RC spools. From my understand, ZPI made two generations of the same spools. The first gen were specially made for the tdz/tdx. Second gen was made for the millionaire103, but is of course compatible with the tdz. You wi...

Re: 2024 Releases/Rumors
I want a new pixy. Been saying this for a long time, but this needs to happen. Alphas frame made out of magnsium, 30-31mm spool and colors, i want colors (no black, gray or silver, give me actual colors). Compared to the new zillion frame, i find the steez tw extremely outdated, so this frame needs ...

Re: Honest opinions...is BFS really worth trying?
I think that BFS is for the large majority of those who enjoy using a baitcaster, and aren't just using it because its practical. If you're not one of those, you might not enjoy BFS. Personally, i haven't used any spinning setups, well, this December it'll be 10 years

Re: Studio Composite rods
These rods are awesome. I have a paradox 8 foot 6 in 4.5 power and a 7’3 in 5 power. They are tough as nails, simple, sleek, and sensitive. I’ve been planning to write an in depth review on the 8’6. I never thought I’d use such a long rod for bass fishing. I had bought it for snook. But I took it b...

Studio Composite rods
Got myself a 5pc studio composite rod to use mainly with slide swimmers, and was wondering if any of you have any experience with them. I don't believe i have ever even heard of a single person on TT mention their rods lol Love their handles and knobs, so i assume their rods are quality, and its nic...

That Daiwa markings on the front of the handle side plate makes no sense, and its just now that i've noticed.

Re: 34 mm daiwa long casting spool
Borrowed the Blue Emblem from a bud, and have been trying it in the og steez. For years i've heard people praising the spool, and i always told myself that they're only doing so because the spool is super rare and expensive. Not the case lol. Have only tried it in very windy conditions for a c...

I fish for musky, and see no reason for this when the standard reelseat does perfectly fine.

Re: Legit Design rods
This is a boutique brand, which is hand-built in Japan. Their builds are bordering on perfection, among the cleanest I have ever seen, tbh. Overall, the Wildside is an especially good value. Cal has reviewed 2 of their series here on TT. Yea, i've read them both. But a bit confused, on their review...

Legit Design rods
Don't hear much from this brand, but have seen a guy bank fishing with one, and it seemed like a pretty solid rod with a clean build. Anyone has any experience with these?
