Re: Daiwa Legalis spinning reels discontinued?
Not sure on a national level but possibly this shop is just not able to get them any longer/ doesn’t sell enough to invest the overhead required to keep them available. In the end if you enjoy the reel and it fits your purpose is all that should matter.

Sunline Small Game PE is probably my favorite braid. Super strong and durable gotten many spoons I would have lost back.

Re: Picked up some new spoons...
Should be great, I fish as low as 0.8g and up to 4g so far. My rod is rated from 1-7g so going to give it a work out.Popfly wrote:Nice mix, let us know how they do. I have some 2g & 3g Forest spoons I bought off Amazon.jp & did very well with them on Bluegill & Spotted bass over the summer.

Picked up some new spoons...
Well... not really picked up but just arrived from Japan. The 2 on the left are a Smith Edge Diamond 3g spoon and the next is a Daiwa Crusader 4g spoon. Re: Olympic Corto GCRTS -742-T
Something to consider is what kind of line you are using. I know with my TenRyu Rayz Spectra the switch from even high end nylons to high end PE really made the rod shine and it easily casts 0.8g spoons without effort. Something I couldn’t do with the Nylon.

Thanks everyone! I have respooled it with Sunline Saltist PE .04 and this thing is a casting machine with a much stronger bite.
