Re: F7-76ti White Python or F8.5-710XBJ Punching & Swimbait
Hello. I have the first model of the white python ans use it for swimbaits, big topwater lures, slow rolling spinerbaits and deep cranks. I have fish jigs up to 1/2 oz but the rod have a soft tip. I do not recomend the white python to flipping and punching with punch weights up to 1,5 oz because of...

In general big baits that move a lot of water are easier for a predator to track.
I think you need to buy a few baits and start fishing
BBZ jr, 9" slammer, lunker punker, I've heard good things about the savage 3d trout thing, also eyeball some different soft baits from other companies.

Re: Looking for recommendations on a swimbait rod 2+ oz
Short butts make for a tiring casting session. Just like in a surf rod you need a gap between both hands to to extend the power on a two handed cast and longer butts can be tucked under the armpit to reduce the overall weight feeling from these big sticks. Reason I gravitate to the 806ML and 867 li...

Fast sink can be tricky from shore.
My favorite is so sink.. Stays pretty even no matter the depth. Can count it down, burn it on top, slow roll it next to structure etc...

Re: Looking for recommendations on a swimbait rod 2+ oz
Hey Cisco, by no means is the 795 a light weight rod IMO. It's by the heaviest of swimbait rods but it has big guides, pretty big blank, lots of grip, normal ecs reel seat so it is no light weight. If you want a swimbait rod that is light... Custom is the way to go. Maybe the new edge swimbait rods ...

Re: Tiger Muskie video from last weekend
They are some badass fish! Couldn't get the true giants... State record is from the lake we were at... Near 40lbs and 50.5" I did get a 45"er last year. Might make another trip... We'll see I'm leaving today at noon to hit Curlew Lake, one of our Tiger lakes. Our state record length fish came from ...
