They are some badass fish! Couldn't get the true giants... State record is from the lake we were at... Near 40lbs and 50.5"
I did get a 45"er last year.
Might make another trip... We'll see

Tiger Muskie video from last weekend
Long but sweet IMO. Caught over 160 TM between us in 3 days.

Re: I thought this would never happen
Good luck
Have had it happen... They replace with stock bearings and toss the others.
Sucks but as said above, send in stock.
Have had some pretty horrid luck sending in reels to shimano. Will only send in my DC to them. Better off sending to someone from here or BBC

Hudds... ROF 12 and 16 are great for deep water fishing
Spro BBZ fast sinks sink pretty fast, more likely to snag as they have two trebles on the bottom.

Re: MB F6.5-74XBJ Power Versatile vs Dobyn's 795ml
No problem
I traded my PV
It's a good rod but not worth the 500ish retail but I haven't been impressed with a megabass rod yet so take it for what it's worth.
Have around 100 casts and no fish on a white python and like that one so far.

Re: MB F6.5-74XBJ Power Versatile vs Dobyn's 795ml
Totally different rods IMO
I have a regular 795 not the ML
795 has way more power. Throwing similar baits like the rising son I wished the PV had more power for hook sets while the 795 has plenty. I wouldn't fish a jig on the 795 but would on the PV

Pretty lame colors but for $16 can't expect a ton
Would like more updates as people fish them
S weaver seems like the best bang for the buck

Re: What are you favorite mid level blanks to use?
What dragon said... Nice blanks the ones I have fished. Haven't owned any. Have fished a recon vs a UMBX and would go MBX for sure. The 7' mh UMBX would be a killer on St clair throwing jigs and any other bottom contact baits. It is totally awesome and should be under 3oz with micro or semi micro gu...
