Re: How much better is the Scorp over the Chron
21Farms - Why don't you order the knobs from Tackletrap? Who did the polish? Do you feel the spool upgrade was a worthwhile investment? Feel free to get specific as to performance before and after :D I have a set of red RCS knobs collecting dust. I'm tempted to put them on this reel, but I'm certain...

Stren Sonic Braid questions and more...
I've tried the following lines and here are my thoughts/Cons - Original Power Pro - Casting distance not as good as the following lines. It will dig into itself if you're not careful. Sufix Performance Braid (line of choice thus far) - A bit difficult to tie knots in the wind PP Super Slick 8 - Remi...

I would add a Gen. 1 Cumara to the top of that list followed by the KLX, M1, then the Omen. Just my 2 cents

Re: How much better is the Scorp over the Chron
Have both as well and can go wrong either way. for me I prefer the 50e just as a size factor treadwell, i think the OP is talking about the scorpionXT, not the pre-2010 scorpion. the scorpion 1000XT and chronarch 50E are identical except for the handle, the color and the bearings. http://imageshack...

Semper Fi Handles
Somebody school me on Semper Fi. I want to order the 85mm Black Carbon handle to put on my Scorpion XT (Just noticed the prices went up a couple bucks). So that I get. Now I need shafts and screws, and I'm unsure what to get. Can you just say these are the items you need and keep it simple. I have k...

. A couple crappy videos and the reel, whatever it may be, becomes all hype. Gotta love it. So now based off 5 videos that ultimately told us nothing it has been determined this reel will be both a game changer and all hype. Good stuff  If it does turn out to just be a Lexa painted black with t...

I agree granted you won't be throwing anything over 1/2 ounce.tywithay wrote:I'd get the medium. I have a 7'1 med and mh, the mh is much stiffer. I use the medium for weightless plastics and small spinnerbaits and it loads up nicely.

Re: TEST FOR ALL "REEL" GEEKS...
Contact e_bassfisher. Ian supertuned a couple of my TDZ's and they cast 10 to 20 yards farther than my other TDZ's. I also would say a longer rod with more tip will load better and cast farther than an xfast rod. I had a Daiwa Aggrest which is basically the same reel with a few extra goodies I also...

Re: Daiwa Zillion 7' M sensitivity question
I love my 7'M Zillion for t-riggin, light jigs and even drop shot. I mainly fish fluoro and I have no problems with sensitivity. I just got two GLX rods and to be honest with you I'm not impessed with them. I have fished my buddies Dobyn's rods but I think they are more hype. I wasn't impressed wit...

I would have said the same for the Lexa too. I hope your right.hoohoorjoo wrote:It is Magforce Z, the reel shown in the video is a flat-bottom spool. Only other option with that spool would be the original Magforce with a fixed inductor, which is HIGHLY unlikely.Hogsticker2 wrote:How did we determine it will have Magforce Z?
