Re: The Highest Example – The Edge Epitome Rods from Gary Loomis
So mine arrived today, it shipped 4 months from the date it was ordered. It it feels quite light, it's a little tip heavy not bad, but unless my experience on the water changes it I don't see this as a $500 rod, the build could pass for any of their cheaper rods minus the guide train, $295 seems lik...

Re: Small hairjigs for largemouth
One of the local tackle guys near me does light hairjigs specifically for largemouth, Moe's jigs is the guys company, he does some good work. He gave me one to try this winter but unfortunately I got it hung in a submerged tree top. He even makes chatterbaits with hair skirts.

Re: Cashion Rods questions
No, it should be a big step up over the gx2, you should have a good bit more sensitivity with a MH cashion over any of the gx2s.

Re: The Highest Example – The Edge Epitome Rods from Gary Loomis
In the past Kristen helped me with with some issues with an edge rod order, her email was support@edgerods.com . The rod order manager last year was Caitlynn and her email was caitlynn@edgerods.com , I've had better luck with those emails getting ahold of people at Edge. I'll buy NFC blanks in the f...

Re: Cashion Rods questions
Im going to switch to Cashion Rods and switching my gx2 medium action spinning rod to their 7ft medium heavy element inshore flounder and red spinning rod and was wondering •if it would bend and have the same flexibility like the medium action ugly stik •which spinning rod has the same stiffness as...

Re: Trika Rods
I have alps mvt reel seats on 3 of my rods and I agree, the trika reel seat is very similar, just has a shorter trigger, I agree the seam on the trika could be cleaned up better but it's not a big deal to me.

Re: Looking for 7'2+ M or ML casting rod
Have a custom-build with the NFC sj703 blank would be my choice....
But the progreen series from g Loomis has both a 7'2 and a 7'4 in ml they are in the process of being discontinued but American legacy bought the last lot of them.
I too fish with exclusively baitcasters inshore for speckled trout

Re: New Finesse/BFS reel for salt water
The smallest reels I use in saltwater would be my alpha sv105 or type r, Daiwa does make the coastal tw in a 80 edition now but it has a pretty deep spool compared to a bfs reel.

Interestingly enough the epitome shows in stock on the website now, anyone have theirs yet? Nope, still waiting. I emailed them and they said hopefully by the end of October. Only got a few more days, so I ain't holding my breath 🤔 Mine was ordered August 16th and still shows processing and not in ...
