Anther option is to get a 200 size version of calais / antares and get the 5:1 gear set from tackletrap. Older generation Calais has deep spool. It hold much more line than the modern wiffle spool. Indeed the handle is backwards.

if you can get one of the new calcutta D handles then it would fit with that reel. Plus, it will give you a nice looking handle over that thing.

Also, bring a few swimbaits if you have any and let me know how that rod works for them? I've been eyeing one that can be as good a caster as my Dobyns 795ML.
