Re: Best spinning reel under 210$ ???

Ok guys, i really have been thinking. Since I need to get some other rod/ reel setups too... and I also need to get a trolling motor/ depth finder for the boat.....I need to lower my price. I think I need something around 125-140$. This will leave me more money to help when buying a spinnerbait com...

Re: Best spinning reel under 210$ ???

And with the newer version you get the SR features. The oversized 3D gear, the SR handle(Stella, and Twinpower only). Go to Shimano Japan online and look at the schematic on the Twin. Very impressive.

Re: Best spinning reel under 210$ ???

I would look into the Twinpower from shimano and the Biomaster. I have 2 Biomasters and havent had a problem with line twisting. Booth are very smooth reels and the drags are the same. Another reel that might be inconsideration would be the quantum PTI for 129ish which ive heard on here to be a gre...

Re: Translation question for Daiwa Alphas Ito Ai Owners

Just e-mail Jun @ Japan tackle and explain the part(what it looks like and some sort of semi-intelligent word for it) to him. He's pretty sharp when it comes to parts. I've done this in the past and he's always nailed it down for me. You don't need to go straight to the manufacturer. Jun can get it ...

Re: Luvias vs. Stradic vs. Quantum PTI

Weight is big concern of mine which is why I sold my Energy. It was an insanely smooth and beautiful reel, but just to darn heavy. Personally I would trade a little smoothness for all day castability. A friend of mine has the Stradic and it's a great reel, but you may want to look into the Japanese ...

Works great with firefox for us Linux guys.
I was wondering when they would come out with the SR version of the Mg Twinpower. Very cool.

Re: Woo Hoo. New G-blanks comin' my way

Keep in mind, comparing two rods of equal length and action, if one rod has a full rear grip, full reel seat, and foregrip, and the second rod has a split rear grip, split reel seat, and no foregrip, the second rod is naturally going to be lighter than the first because there is less material on th...

Re: Woo Hoo. New G-blanks comin' my way

Yeah Vaporzz, I'm pretty stoked. I was thinking of getting a G. Loomis IMX, but I've been hearing that the the G-Blanks are lighter than the GLX so I thought I would see if George would build one to my specs. It will cost more than thier off-the-shelf rods, but alot less than a GLX, or IMX for that ...

Woo Hoo. New G-blanks comin' my way

I've been talking to Larry and George at G-Blanks about building a new custom rod for me. Here's the list:
Split handle spinning rod on a 6' 6" SHX blank med/fast with a titanium and woven scrim graphite reel seat, and the RECOIL guides at concept spacing.

Smallie. I would hold of for a couple more weeks if I were you. Daiwa is about to drop a bomb with the new 2006 Japan models that look real promising. Take a look at plat tackle for a sneak preview.
