Re: ICAST 2019

I can tell you one thing. Whomever is in charge of thier new USDM product hype train, needs to get off at the next station. :? While there has to be a better spot somewhere in the middle, I'd rather sweat this thread out in the dark than spend months shaking my head at a deluge of outlandish claims...

For us, we no longer feel motivated to utilize them, even for future bait testing purposes, and will be donating all of them to up and coming young anglers that will be able to put them to good use. - Z
Excellent way to add a silver lining to a very disappointing story. Thanks for sharing this.

I'm hoping against hope that there will be a new Zillion, maybe on the Steez CT frame, but in aluminum. I heard a rumor, but could be just that.
What a tantalizing thread this is, hopefully we'll get some leaked pics soon!

Surprised we havent heard anything on the zillion. Digitaka is sold out of 4 of the zillion models currently, but still no word.
I'll take anything with an aluminum frame and no spiders

Re: Feedback on Levante FSS and JBS

The new jerkbait special is an awesome rod. Perfect tip to launch the bait, and to work it easily and effectively. The blank loads well to keep fish pinned on treble hooks. With the cosmetics and crisp feel, these are a step up from the old series for sure. I have a flatside special in the old seri...

Feedback on Levante FSS and JBS

I'm going to order a couple of Levantes, a Perfect Pitch and either the Flatside Special or Jerkbait Special. I'm looking for feedback on these two - how do you like it and what do you use it for?

Strike King Rocket Shad
Length /height the 1/4,3/8,1/2 Rocket Shads are smaller than the 3/16 Pond Magic.
This! They look odd but cast like a bullet because they are so compact. Great option to cover water with a long cast and fast retrieve.

Re: Which Loomis or Megabass Rod for 1/2 spinnerbaits

The XX spinnerbait special is a great rod. Not sure if that model carried over to the 2nd gen rods, though. I'll 2nd the Spinnerbait Special, great option if you can find one in good condition. I use mine for exactly the applications you described, but it is a super versatile rod that can handle ev...

Re: Levante Leviathan for 2-3oz baits?

Hey everyone, I'm looking for my first swimbait rod. I have the new 2019 Levante jerk bait special and just love it, so I'm looking into the Leviathan. I have some baits in the 2-3 oz range that I would be throwing more often, and I'm wondering how the Leviathan would load up with these weights bei...

And keeping this um thread on track... rods with guides on top are so over rated! Spiral wraps are the only way to go...
Definitely need to try a spiral wrap at some point. Do you prefer spiral for certain presentations only, or across the board?

The source is clearly on the image... and here are others showing similar... The data is clearly valid, my comment was about the narrative you've attached to it. I was just trying to add a funny comment to a depressing thread but it wasn't very civil, my apologies. I don't really want to engage in ...

Re: Who is the MOST over rated ?

Sad to say, but there is zero credibility for this type of thing here in USA. Shame this is what we have come to. Wish we could reverse this situation and stop this sort of thing because people like this are contributing to this: http://www.goldprospectingonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/us-do...

Re: The most UNDER rated..

Very glad to hear the MS-X version is that versatile! Do you run braid to leader for jerkbaits on the 6'5" ML or is the action fast enough to get sharp movement out of the bait without braid? So, it was a rough day yesterday. The only action I got was a head butt or tail slap on a 110 Jr, fished on...
