Afterglow

The sequel to the Black Pearl Stradic isn't as impressive or as pretty. For your consideration, the Afterglow Stradic FJ. http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu123/Moosetessin/5dff4fa5-da50-4d57-9d41-3d6bc445844b_zps9926a5a5.jpg It looks better in person, my camera seems to have trouble getting the c...

I really like it, the colors are high contrast but really work well together.

Re: Stuffed Spool bearing after 1 month

Is it a Mag Brake model or a centrifugal? One of my shimano's had a stuck brake block on the spool that made it sound very similar to yours.

Re: Jerkbait rod

I bought a Gander Mountain X-Factor in a 6'6" medium and it is great for jerkbaits. Most Ganders Should have the X-Factors on clearance for $99 or less right now. You should feel one if you have a store near you.

Re: Reel Opinion For St. Croix Rods ? (Sr. Citizen Questions

Well if you went with the ultralight I would suggest the 1000 just for the small size. I know I suggested the 2500 before but I didn't think you would go that light. Why no just a Light action and meet in the middle. Ok the Premier and the Avid. The Premier is essentially the same rod as the Triumph...

Re: Spinning Reels Numbering: How Computed ?

What skeletor said. Most companies stay fairly true to this sizing system. Some companies just use 10, 20, 30, and so on. 500-1000= ultra light to medium light application. 2000-2500=medium light to medium. 3000 is often a deeper spool but the same all around reel as a 2500. 4000=Medium Heavy applic...

Re: Reel Size Question: 1000 or 2500 ?

The 2500 will cast a little easier, the weight of it may help to counter balance the 7ft rod. In my opinion the FJ is better than the Ci4 but like the above poster said it is heavier. The FJ 2500 wont be much heavier than the Stradic Aero, if I remember correctly the Aero weighs something like 8.3oz.
