I have narrowed it down to 2 rods
The Dark Sleeper or the 72X X-Bites
Having never own or let along held a Megabass rod I think either of these will work for what I want to do.
What y'all think

Re: MegaBass worm rod
I guess I should have said t-rig worms and senkos. I have 5 Steez rods from 6-7 to 7-5 bottom contact and several tatula elites. Love all of them but was wanting to try something else in that range of rods. I've look at all of the current megabass specs but there are so many different types Jeff Wh...

Just tried taking out the spool but it won't come out. First reel I ever had to do this
What am I missing?
Palming plate came right off but can't pull the spool out

Re: Daiwa SS
Should be a good BFS reel. The stock drag is super weak but butter smooth. If it's a Ray's spool it might be too wild to tame thanks to the super weak magnets. I had one and had to super glue the air brake in place all the way extended to make it into a fixed inductor spool. I'm going to put 12lb f...

I bought one the other day and it has a shallow black honeycomb spool. Red accents. Need a little bit of info on this one Thanks Jeff [/quote I love mine, I am one of the few people on here who speaks highly of the reel. I also do not get to fish as much or catch as many big fish on them, but mine ...

Re: Flourocarbon on Spinning reel
It also matters how the line is spooled onto the reel... was it using a line winder or did you string the line through a rod and just wind it on using the reel? If the latter, that could be the reason behind your difficulties as the line is being twisted onto the spool. And Daiwa recommends to make...

Re: Tatula Elite rods
how does the tak rod compare with the old tds version? i was always amazed at the range those rods could handle, but i wasnt crazy about the balance of them. for cranks it was fine, but for 1/2oz spinnerbaits it seemed like my wrist always hurt by end of the day I have both rods and the Tak rod doe...

Re: When quality over quantity
I've always been quality over quantity. Ever since buying my first Daiwa in 1981, I've always bought Daiwa reels. I have bought others rods through previous rod sponsors but I've always came back to Daiwa. I've never used another reel other than trying a friend's reel. I've been fortunate to be able...

Re: Graduation
A rod from Japan is a bit of a gamble. Even if they pack it right, it might still be damaged in transit. It really is nice to win a rod that no one else has, though. Yeah brother I’m here in this thing attending Wife received the rod and I had her to open it. She normally opens my mail anyways so w...
