Cast and wind techniques definitely go for a more expensive reel. Worming, jigs etc. however will call for a more sensitive and therefore more expensive rod. Or just spend $150 on each.

Rubber nets are far superior over nylon for all the above reasons and one more. They do not stink of old fish slime after use.

If I want abrasion resistance I use P Line CXX Xtra Strong.
If open water fishing then P Line CX Premium.
If open water fishing then P Line CX Premium.

Isn't the Hot Sauce supposed to bond to the bearings "molecularly"? Wouldn't that mean you couldn't get all of it off? I have long suspected that this is just advertising BS :^o . If their products were so radically better than any other then I'm sure they would also probably be way more expensive ...

I don't understand. Fish supposedly can see Red hooks and they eat baits more readily because the look wounded. Fish supposedly CAN'T see red fishing line.... hahahaha I smell a fib somewhere. Well, I was about to purchase the 13 Metanium on Amazon when I realized that the price went over $300. Fortunately, I found a Japanese website that was selling the 13Met for $281.34, so I ordered one. If anyone is interested, I purchased it from Tokyo Sport Fishing . Not much mention of this vendor...
