The warnings on the newer gen DCs are mostly around not putting any force on the coil.

I'm not sure the new DC units use the same setup though for measuring spool RPMs

Haha, sending any reel to Daiwa/Shimano AU service department is a gamble haha.
Half the time it comes back worse.

I would love a DC where the you could turn off the whine or make it very faint. Bit distracting or annoying esp in quiet areas.

The note (about repair only) has been the case for a fair while now.
But check with Plat, they seem to be able to order/supply gear sets despite that note...

And it's not 13000.
It's 6500 for the drive and pinion gear set.

Roro Amo spool seems to work pretty well in the Morethan PE TW, at least in limited casting with a 1/2 oz casting plug in no wind conditions (not the most challenging). Was there a signature to the delivery?

Yeah, I ended up trying a local source (Plaig bearings).
Less than AU$6 for a S/steel bearing. Cheap enough for one here, one there.
