Curado 70 vs Scorpion 70?

Are there any key differences, or bearing upgrades between them? I know in the E series the Scorpion has all arb bearings where the Curado only had a few... thanks

I thought the same thing...both seem true to rating, the 7'2 is slightly more tippy.

Does it feel pretty lively like it will be sensitive? Looking at that 7’2 MH pretty hard. But NRX and glx are always calling my name lol

Can anyone compare the NRX 852 and dx702?

I hear the 702 talked about so much, and it usually seems like it’s done more in a way that makes it sound extremely finesse. I can throw Vision 110’s on NRX 852...was curious if the 702 could do it too? Thanks

Re: Loomis Noob, looking for GLX help

I would look at the 853 for those purposes, and possibly the 843. The 853 will handle the 1/2 oz jigs better but will still be at home in the 5/16 range. If you were mainly throwing 1/2 oz I would say get the 844...but since 85% of the Work will be done in the wheelhouse if the 853 I would recommend...

Yup the physical weight of the rod. And they are on the second series of them aren’t they? I have a couple gen 2 exprides I'll throw on the scale for you, once I grab batteries for the scale. I'm curious myself...they feel pretty darn light and well balanced. Thanks man! I’m looking at the 6’10 Med...

I wish manufacturers would include rod weights like the do for reels.

Re: New Loomis GLX rods creak when you shake them?

Mine does the same thing. I’ve had one custom that did this too in the past and one of the old smallmouth Loomis rods. It’s due to the guides not being wrapped tightly enough to the blank and epoxy shifting against the guide foot. I don’t know why Loomis can’t get their crap together. Their blanks a...
