Re: Okuma X-series

Anybody try these? The T1100g incorporated into the blank,at that price point, has me intrigued. TW is claiming Toray 46T. It sounds good, but I know it's all about the resin recipe. 13 fishing's envy 3 is claiming the same thing. Yes...another rod I'd like to try. I'm a rod-aholic no doubt 8-)

Re: TD-Z Owners Guild

Daiwa TD-Z Small Bait Special. IMG_8749.jpeg That's a rare spool. I have that exact spool in an IP68 for pitching and skipping weightless plastics on a gen 1 PP. Does an excellent job. He believes it to be Rays which I would agree. You are probably thinking of the MB honeycomb 36 mm spool. Which in...

Re: Who even buys Quantum reels these days?

Quantum was my jam before I knew what a good reel was. Zebco/qu
antum was local here in Tulsa, OK and I became a 'pro staff' at 15 before I could legally enter a tournament. Quantum seems to have some die hard fans and the s3 has a long list of praise on the TW reviews.

Applaud nanodax

After reading about this line, I'm wanting to try it. Anyone happen to use it?

Re: New Steez A II vs High End Shimano’s

I'd shop the Rays long cast spools on aliexpress. I have a couple in my tat 100's and they are nice.

Re: 16 Daiwa Zillion SV TW

Love my 16 Zillions. I prefer their narrower frame versus the new lower and wider frames Daiwa has gone to.

Is JDM Tackle Heaven the only vendor that would carry the current Revoltage?
Tackle Haven seems to be the only place to get many of the JDM rods. With $100 shipping, I just wait until I can buy a minimum of two models. I've thought about emailing JLS to see if he is getting them in.

I think it's the weight of the frame only without a handle and a spool.
I was wondering how they managed that kind of savings, lol. Yes...Daiwa is getting lazy with the limited reels.

New Zillion Limited

Somehow they shaved off 25 grams bringing it down to 150g's.

Re: Jackall Revoltage

I found one that I'd like to add to my next rod order from Haven....the 7'8"ML+ (1/8-5/8oz) 107.8g's.

The Phenix classic bfs in 7'4" would be worth a look.

The new Revoltage use least amount 1100/M40 and it is made in China. The rods about 2xxxx yens cheaper than Glorious. I expect it is better than Expride with better blank.
Word. I think they will do well competing with other $200ish sticks.

Re: Jackall Revoltage

The 7'3"H Revoltage weighs the same as the 7'2" Ultima @ 120 grams. Pretty impressive. It is hard to understand the differences in the blanks of the Ultima/glorious/revoltage when they all claim 1100g/m40.

Re: Jackall Revoltage

They got rid of that badass lockdown nut though :( . A shame. Shimano/Jackal went backwards on the Ultima/Glorious and now Revoltage lockdown nuts. The nut is like the 'front fascia' of fishing rods IMO. Just cosmetic I realize, but if looks didn't matter, we'd all just fish Loomis rods.
