Re: No Confidence in XXXXX?
Mine is almost opposite. Utmost confidence in jigs and plastics. I can almost fish them like a bobber, cast, leave it, maybe move a bit, and will eventually get a bite. Same goes for smaller cranks though, they will draw it. I had not caught a single bass EVER on a spinnerbait until about a year and...

Re: Midway USA Shimano mystery box
There's no guarantee on how much of that $500 value is tackle and how much of it is the reel. So I'd be wary, I wouldn't want to spend over 300 bucks on a $250 reel and assorted tackle... Speaking generally, assorted tackle always seems to end up being items that shops can't sell so they just off-l...

Re: Midway USA Shimano mystery box
Funny, the first comment says "They give you an SLX". Not sure if it is a genuine comment or someone trolling. Was marked down to $325 area now. For a US Metanium and some lures/line I would be happy with that deal. I liked the mystery box idea for lures, still swear I had that idea first in college...

Re: All new steez sv tw
I wish the video had it next to other models to get a better idea of the dimensions. Regardless, they won't be able to get much smaller or smoother I would assume. We have got to be close to a plateau/pinnacle of fishing reel technology.

Re: 2024 Releases/Rumors
Well so far there is another thread about a new Steez SV TW. Not sure what the improvements will be, Daiwa has some new marketing words for it.
Hoping this leads into a few more releases and news of upcoming ones. I am still waiting for the 2000 size Stradic FM to become available.

Re: JDM Outside Weight Crank
OSP Blitz Appreciate it Cal. I hated to ask such a simple question, but could NOT find out what brand it was. For some reason I thought it was deps or Evergreen. Either way I'd still be excited to hear what anyone had experienced with the US SPRO version or the JDM. They are quite the pricey crankb...

JDM Outside Weight Crank
Simple question, what are the SPRO Outsider Cranks based off of? I feel like there is a JDM brand that had a similar design...

Re: 16 Daiwa Zillion SV TW
Hey guys, Are these reels still viable today? or is there better for the money?. I'm eyeballing one for about $210CAD. I can't seem to find many worth while reviews on them. Anyone who owns these have any input? How do they compare to the Alphas 800? What are the Shimano "comparables"? Figured I'd ...

Re: 2024 Releases/Rumors
I would love to see some fresh colors, I agree that gunmetal/black/silver has become a new standard. I agree with the previous comment too, would love to see a new Millionaire, but it seems round reels might be phasing out. I would be tempted to just get another Conquest 100HG.

2024 Releases/Rumors
Just like to hear what anyone has heard or suspects to come out this coming year. I know a lot of anglers expected a new Metanium DC but it was absent. Even with the JDM Metanium 100 release, I feel that whole lineup might get a revamp. Just got a Curado 200 release, and i assume the 150MGL/70MGL wi...

Re: Supercharging Tow Vehicle
Good Day. I decided to take a risk or live out a dream depending on how you look at it. I recently purchased a supercharger for my truck and its yet to arrive how ever after the dyno and all that the truck will still be my daily driver on occassions. If you have a supercharger on your truck how is ...

Re: Compact Spinnerbaits for smallies
Since my last post, I have done great with the Jackall Deraspin in 3/8. It is a smaller profile, but only also has 1 blade, so the 3/8 version can run fairly deep. They also have a 1/4 version and a lot of good colors.

Re: Chatterbait Weight vs Application
See I was fishing chatterbaits more like a reverse crank, slowing retrieve to get deeper. Never fished them at the bottom though, will for sure try some heavier ones this weekend.

Chatterbait Weight vs Application
Recently been fishing more and more chatterbaits, mainly the 3/8 MiniMax and 3/8 Jackhammer. I fish a clear river system, and honestly the bait doesn't do best. It slays during aggressive times and brings bigger fish, but not year round numbers for me. So my question is about the chatterbait/bladed ...

Re: Non-Typical Drop shot
Most of the time when I’m dropshotting it’s in clear water But recently I have taken it upon myself to do it everywhere I’d used a texas rig. Do you only drill use a drop shot in clear water? I do the same as you on my local river, drag dropshots all over. Issue I have is snags. For rocky sandbars,...
