Re: What's in your reel collection?
Megabass FX68R Rosso The Lews is on my travel setup. Don't have rods yet for the TD-Z or the Megabass. I don't have much of a collection compared to a lot of you but then again I'm pretty new to the JDM/high end scene. How do you like your Rosso? what are you planning on using it for? one megabass ...

Re: Shimano baitcaster handle
"older shimano" as in the Calcutta 100 i snapped up at a pawn shop this week? looks like something has taken a chunk out of one of the knobs. handle replacement is in order. other than that i'm really impressed with it. i will check the shimano facebook out.

Re: Throw in the Towel

I haven't touched some of those stuff in over a year. Same with my venture into building swimbaits....

Re: Which shorty/shower Blows style bait brand is the best?
i've got a bunch of top water baits. never did do a lot with them for years. got a couple of shower blows shorty baits. just a world of difference to me when it comes to ease of use. like 'em a lot. doubt i'll throw spooks very much.

Re: Spinning Reel Deal?
I don't think the local Dick's store would know what a steez or sustain was. I have more fly tackle than they do. to be honest some did come from their- redington ct reels! score for $29 each. don't think I've ever found much there. acdemy opened here recently and is dominating local sales.

Re: just wondering about seaoned builders thoughts on buildi
jimmyb, I absolutely agree with you on the advance of fishing rods. I do remember when the lew's speed stick was top of the line. fiberglass blanks, beefy handles, lots of weight. now we have rods weighing less than the handles of those older rods. sensitivity has went through the roof. actions are ...
