IMO, there is still no better frog reel than a Calais DC7.

Can't you put together a GLoomis SJR 720 IMX with a Shimano Soare 500S and keep it under $500? That would be a pretty sweet combo IMO.

I really like my Calais DC7 if you want a high ratio retrieve but the Conquest DC100 remains my favorite DC for cranks.
