Re: Before I complain about Sufix Performance Braid...

Drag is locked down...most reels have no more than 20 lbs of pressure. If a fish decide it really has to run, I put it in freespool and thumb it. I've never had a fish break a rod.

Re: Storm Kickin' Minnow...

They may be a one fish bait, but at $7, I won't complain. Bulldawgs are one fish baits and a 12"er costs $15.

Re: Before I complain about Sufix Performance Braid...

2 ounces? I'd use heavier braid. I do a lot of muskie fishing and for the fish, 50# is fine, but I've broken it (different brands) on a cast. I now only use 80# for the heavier lures. You use 80 lb braid your rod has to be a pool cue !! No, some of my muskie rods are lighter than my bass rods. Shor...

Re: Berkley Line Winder

Its OK. One of the screws on the springs that hold the spool in place broke on mine. But I paid $12, so I can't complain. I can still use my fingers for tension.

Re: Gander Mountain Spinning Reels

A lot of the Guide Series reels are made by Shakespeare/Pflueger. The Tournament reel looks just like the president other than painted a different color and doesn't have the wood handle. But, its $20 less. I love the reel. Not all of the reels are made by Shakespeare/Pflueger though. The round baitc...

Re: Crystal Fireline

Its no different than green, pink or black fireline, other than the color. Lots of people are making a big deal out of a white line...berkley made white whiplash over 5 years ago.
