Re: LuckyCraft Rod???
Played with a sample/prototype (7' heavy model) a few months ago. Nice rod but not $350 nice. This one had a matte black blank, painted Fuji reel seat, SIC Concepts--nothing fancy, just a nice understated rod with utilitarian aesthetics. The series is made by St. Croix and the looks remind me of a s...

Re: Has anyone tried the SIC bearings from Japan Tackle?
They are open race and not double shielded. The shields prevent and protect the bearings from grit, dirt, excess oil and grease contamination and/or damage. You might want to consider sealed bearings. They are lubed, then sealed. Basically, maintainence free. They don't protect against contaminatio...

Has anyone tried the SIC bearings from Japan Tackle?
So has anyone ordered the SIC bearings now available through Japan Tackle?
I'd love to know what the ABEC rating is and how they compare to TG's Rocket Bearings...

Re: What type of guides are on my IMX?
I bought a G. Loomis MBR 783C rod with the Weibe reel seat about 3 years ago and still have yet to know what type of guides are on the rod? Are they Fuji or another brand, and are they Alconite, SiC, Hardloy, etc. Thanks. Old Loomis configuration: Weibe "Super Sticker" reel seat and Pacbay guides. ...

Re: Concept Guides
Casting efficiency, increased smoothness and casting distance-- I have a hard time believing. The increased number of guides just isn't smoother or longer casting I've done side by side comparisons of identical casting rods and the one configured with Fuji Concept guides + Concept spacing did indee...

Re: cuda fishing line???
Why don't you just buy it from the original dealer you bought it from--most of the exhibitors at the San Mateo show are actual brick & mortar stores. If you're in the Bay Area, Hi's Tackle in SF sells Cuda in the quarter pound spools (and reel fill ups from bulk)... Cuda isn't a Kmart brand as one o...

They're nice, solid reels and quite a departure from the previous A version. The frame and sideplate are plated rather than painted--the plating should prove to be...
