Re: @Batson

Many of our vendors should have it in stock or can order them, you can see our list of dealers at: http://www.rainshadowrodblanks.com/find-dealer/ If you do a google search for the “Part Number rod blank” multiple stores should come up in the search as well. These RX7 two-piece are a little more all...

Re: @Batson

Any ideas when you'll update the guide spacing recommendations for the immortal and eternity 2? After ICAST we’ll be updating the guide spacing on those and other new blanks. It’s a pretty time consuming process with 500 or so blanks overall but we’re hoping to have it done in August. Though you ca...

Re: @Batson

Any chance we will be seeing some 2 piece blanks from any of the Rainshadow lines? Bass blanks? No, not in our new products coming out. We currently have for Bass the RX7 ISP spin line ( http://www.rainshadowrodblanks.com/product-line/rx7-bass-spinning/ ) are two-piece. That's too bad. Being MHX of...

What time did you call? The office is open 7:30am to 4pm Pacific Time. Sorry for the slow response as we’ve been incredibly busy with the new catalog, many new parts coming out and announced in mid-July, so haven’t had as much time to visit various boards. As far as the Eternity, we have decided to ...

We don’t sell direct to the consumer, unless you’re a rod builder with an account with us.

We do have international dealers that are able to take your order:

I'm sure any of our U.S. dealers would be happy to ship to Russia as well.

Re: st croix scIV(ltb) vs scV(le) vs Loomis glx vs others

Hi Mark, I don't have either the Loomis or the Falcon around to compare. From what I gathered online, the Loomis is a lighter fine tipped jigging popping rod, and the Falcon is a light cranker intended for longer casts? If you can tell me what you like about each rod and what you use it for I can ma...

Re: expensive new rods and old school reels

Everyone is going to give you their opinion on who makes the best blank. We will too obviously. Maybe doing searches on other forums that rod building is heavy on. Also building a rod properly will really come into play when you go for a custom rod! BTW, doing a custom rod is the only way that you c...

Re: Phenix K2 build

Not stealing a thread on here, but Mattman is correct. Finding the best blank for the job is what is key. But also remember that looks different to everyone. If you can, try to get a hold of a dealer and "touch and feel." Everyone is going to tell you that theirs is better, but you really need to go...

Re: Hollow belly rod recommendation

Hi Steve, While we can't comment on the PB stuff, we can on the NFC. The NFC is a great product, but for throwing that hollow body frog, do you need HM?? You can step down to the IM and be 100% satisfied. Also compared is the quality and where its made. The reason why it costs more, its made in the ...

Re: Fast action crankbait blank?

Hi Falcon, There are a few models out there when it comes to (Mod-Fast) Crankbait blanks. Most of them wind up being graphite, but that should not deter you. You could look into Inshore popping blanks as well. The have the action that is desired as well. Here are a few links to blanks that you could...

Re: Best guide train for price vs weight & performance

If you ever get a chance to check out these names, it would help out a lot. They invented the whole micro choke system: BD Elder, Steve Gardner, Gary Land. The mini train they mostly do is: 16, 6, ( then 5's or 4's, etc.. ) with a total of 11 guides + tip top. Try doing some searching on the web for...

Re: st croix scIV(ltb) vs scV(le) vs Loomis glx vs others

Hi timsford, You may want to check out our Rainshadow Revelation series of blanks. We have some models in the 6'2" and 6'8" lengths that may be just what you're looking for. I have pasted a link below to our online catalog (see p.38) Also, I would add that if you do find the perfect blank in a 6'6" ...

Re: Retrofitting with Matagi WBP balancer

We have the same thing through ALPS. What we do is typically is one of 2 things. 1. Tape arbor 2. Shim. Obviously Epoxying the barrel into the handle assembly. The shim works great since its easier to epoxy outside then ream to fit in your EVA piece.. Just trying to make life a little bit easier for...

Re: Best guide train for price vs weight & performance

angler JO gives great advice... Personally, i throw braid 99% of time, so i opt for the smaller guides in spinning. I generally like building to a version of the Rapid choke and use either Fuji K series or Kigan Z guides. If i am building micro, i pretty much stick to stainless frames, weight savin...
