Re: JDM Calcutta Conquest for Finesse - The Calcutta Conquest BFS
I've been using the 8.9 ratio aldebaran pretty regularly since they came out (right hand) and the gears have stayed out of the box butter smooth so far. I would only imagine putting them in a conquest frame and having absolutely no flex would only enhance longevity.

Re: The Highest Example – The Edge Epitome Rods from Gary Loomis
Got mine in last week, used it a couple times so far. Weighs 2.93oz on my scale so super light for a 7'2" MH. Balance point with a 6oz alphas is about a 1/2" in front of the lock nut. While subjective, it's a very sensitive rod, I've ditched using t-rigs to test sensitivity and now use wei...

Re: The Highest Example – The Edge Epitome Rods from Gary Loomis
I also ordered the epitome 725 and will test side by side against the full gamut of edge rods. I have the silver widow (x-ray), black widow (hm), first strike (IM) and a custom delta blank rod.

Looks like their SR-G/DG13 grease is for the saltwater spinners.
I'm not sure what the USDM part number is to get it here??? Maybe Bantam will chime in with some insight.

Dang over $300??? I paid $230 for mine and I think it’s well worth the price of entry at that point.

Curado 70 discontinued?
Dan,
Are the 70s being discontinued or are they being upgraded or replaced? I see MAP has been removed.

Re: Chronarch MGL clicking sound
I did not take the worm shaft apart. It was a simple clean and grease job for the gears. You're right that it isn't the x-ship bearing. I swapped the handle sideplate of the other chronarch i own onto the problem reel and the clicking persisted. I then proceeded to try to swap out the pinion gear, ...

Re: JDM and their counterparts...
That would be a shocker to me as the scorpion xt's have the same black shielded bearings that the core has. In my testing when flushed and lubed identically the scorpion bearings are a noticeable improvement over the stock 50e bearings.

Re: Conquest 301 Gear Set Options?
Even at 30 IPT the ratio is only 5.6:1 so its a pretty powerful gear ratio. The Calcutta d's look to have a different center to center distance between the main and pinion gears so I doubt they would work. The TE reels aren't x-ship reels so they have a different pinion setup all together so no go o...

Re: Curado I question
Could be that or as with most factory reels, all are not lubed equally from the factory. The culprit reel may have been one with little to no lube there.
