Re: What color will the new curado be

Without some dramatic improvement, like minimized weight due to Ci4+, it will probably be green with envy of the Tatula. Just finished watching Zonas show and with the huge jacks he was catching on it, though it was only 1 show, I dont think its gonna be envious of anything else. He was definitely ...

Chronarch E already is designed for Crucials, unless something else changes to. Not to say a green Curado wouldnt match a Crucial though.

Re: Reel comparison

Have the T3 and Ci4, the T3 doesn't cast better, in my opinion; it just casts easier. Once the Ci4 is dialed in, it's crazy good. I think the Ci4 feels a little more solid as well. I do think the retrieve is a little smoother on the T3, but it should be, it costs $150 more typically. For the things...

Re: Vintage Shimano Sustain/Stella Parts

Don't let shimano know, thats contrary to their business model of planned obsolescence. They're likely to confiscate that gentleman's supply for the sake of self preservation. Nope, thats not how they do it. They sell all their parts to the repair shops to basically clear out there warehouse for ne...

The Chronarch CI4+ spool and accent colors match the Cumara perfectly so I doubt the Curado will to. Seems the Curado was made for the Compre. I think 2 tone Green and black like the Metanium pattern.

Re: Swim Jig And Trailers

Revenge, 3/8oz bluegill w/ watermelon or spanish fly skinny dipper is my favorite. For a smaller size I like the dirty jigs swim jig, 5/16 oz in dill gill and alabama bream with a watermelon swimming fluke jr. Catch a lot of fish on both.

Re: Red Cumara's

I own 8 Cumara(black) and 2 Cumara A(red). The new models are 6'8 M/F and 7' Mh/Mf and I own the same rod in the black model- 6'8 M/f and 7' H/mf. The new 6'8 is definitely more sensitive, can tell a huge difference. I use it for jerkbaits mainly, but have fished 3/16 tungsten w/pit boss to make dir...

Re: Prop Baits

I've had the most success with the LC Kelly J. X2, this thing flat out catches fish and a lot of them, especially in spring. I fish it like a buzzbait most of the timeon a lot of local rivers and with more of a stop and go/twitch action on lakes. Either way it works great, but basically a floating b...

Re: Core finesse question

Well, it may be a little late if you have already made up your mind. But my experience with my Core 50 vs. my Curado 50 with ABEC 7 bearings and a Yumeya spool is that my stock, straight out of the box Core is a better caster. Not by much, but still better. I sadly have no experience with the D7. :...

Definitely going to the Hangout music fest again. I live about 20 minutes from Gulf Shores and its just as beautiful as Pensacola Beach. It is an amazing experience having concerts on our sugar white beaches. You will love it for sure. This will be your view. http://i983.photobucket.com/albums/ae311/...

Re: New line for new combo

For most of my football jig fishing with NRX rods, I have been using Toray Superhard Upgrade in 16 and 20lb. A little stiff at first but very tough, strong line that seems to last a very long time. Very little stretch to the line, maybe the least out there. Very sensitive to. Sunline shooter would b...

Re: Daiwa Zaion Drag Stars

Type R is different, no spring, no washer. Just a standard 1 piece drag star. Yep. Threw me for a loop the first time I tore mine down. Took the standard apart first and did my thing. Took the Type R apart, then when I was putting it back together I about had a heart attack when I saw that I had lo...

Re: Boca Grease Power Lightning Lube

Penn grease is some good stuff. Inexpensive and stays on the gears nicely. Doesn't change colors or have problems when in contact with water. It's much better than Hot Sauce for sure. Great corrosion protection to, even better than Yamaha blue marine grease. I use it for saltwater applications and h...

Re: Difference between Shimano ARB, SARB and RSARB bearings?

SARB is a shielded ARB ARB is non shielded RSARB, not sure, havent heard of these before. Hopefully someone has, now Im curious to. I think RSARB is a removable shield anti rust bearing. I think you are correct. The SARBs inside my Chronarch CI4+ all now have shield retainer clips on them. No more ...
