Re: Shimano or Daiwa JDM reels

I didn't mean for this to turn into a Ford vs Chevy thread. I just wanted to know what everyone was basically using and why they like it so much... I agree arguing in these threads is akin to pissing into a strong headwind ](*,) Teal must have been bored today  and who can blame him Bootytrain...

Re: Shimano or Daiwa JDM reels

I'm either going to get the shimano Aldebaran 51 or the Daiwa Steez limited sv 105xhl I'm actually having a hard time choosing.... The Daiwa is just SUPER sexy and I want to just sit and play with it, I feel so dirty after telling you guys that  The Aldebaran is decent looking, gotta lose thos...

Re: Shimano or Daiwa JDM reels

When it comes to the sv spools, they are pretty amazing. Using a sv105 spool in a td-ito was awesome. No stock 50 series shimano is hanging with that sv105 spool unless the inductor gets stuck :laugh1: ^^So true My 1000xt has Hedgehog Air BFS bearings, and even with my Avail microcast spool, it was...

That's my plan as well. I may end up going with a heavy power Steez rod for frogging and deep jigs

Re: Steez Limited SV 103 TN

Anyone know the difference between this reel and the Steez 105 Limited other than cosmetics? I was very close to pull the trigger on this TN version but chose the 105 Limited instead. The 103 TN has a 6.3:1 gear ratio and the 105 has an 8.6:1 gear ratio. The 103 TN is also a little lighter and has ...

Unfortunately with the 4 NRX rods I bought this year, the custom build, and all the reels...as Teal pointed out I'm broke lol. But yeah want it someday

Yes. I didn't consider spinning reels too though...it would make sense that if the casting reels are getting updated the spinning probably are too.

Been there. Done that. Got cocky and tried casting mine into a head wind with the main brake turned to almost off...wound up with a spool of almost all fluff ](*,)

This is what I want to know to ^^

Anyone else drop an SV spool into a non-SV Steez? If this mod works I definitely see myself buying an SV spool for at least one more Steez. These spools are sweet

We were all eagerly waiting on the new Zillion. be careful what you wish for. Great point. The Steez EX and IS reels are my favorite reels. I'd be happy if they stuck around awhile. Very true  x3 I'm cautiously optimistic. SV Limited is my favorite reel but the EX is right behind it. ...

Re: NRX 872s?

I have used this rod for one full season and I absolutely love it! Amazing rod. I use it mostly for dragging tubes and small jigs, as well as weightless senkos and does these techniques incredibly well. In my opinion I find it has a really nice taper for the mentioned techniques. It has a slightly ...

I've been finding good deals on Steezs. And I've been buying them because the finish is a lot tougher than that on the painted MB reels. Although I would jump all over one of those green 2012 Hyper Lariats
