I have a couple of Shimano Exscence reels. I love the reels, but do not like the T-wing handles. I have searched for aftermarket knobs and didn't see any I like. Would it be as simple as swapping out the T-wings for the standard Shimano spinning reel knobs?

I am especially interested in hearing some feedback on the BMG. I am thinking of getting this as an all around heavy rod.

I am eyeing the P5 FMJ. What would you consider the upper range of what it can handle? Would it be okay to throw a 3/4 jig with 5 inch twin tail?

I have the second generation one. The one with the red handle. My main spinning rod is a Nrx +852s. I used “The One” for all of the lighter stuff. If I were only going to carry one spinning rod, I probably would’ve liked it better. I didn’t love it for just the light stuff.

I’ve actually owned the 7’6 MML Steez. I’m probably just biased towards Loomis, but the Steez was a little underwhelming given all the hype.

I own Bantams and Metaniums (JDM and US). Either will work. The Bantam will balance better.with that said, I use an Antares. I’ve fished a lot of different set ups for jigs, but to me the 873CRR paired with an Antares is as good as it gets.

Shimano Exscence

Anybody use these? If so, what are your thoughts?

I used the 844 for jigs. I replaced it with a 873CRR. I like it much better. In a lot of situations, either the 844 or 843 will work. The 843c is lighter and more fun to fish (in my opinion).
