Looks good. Hyper is out, ultimate is in. I think I will wait for TT user judgments.
The next iteration will be hyper-ultima +

Re: All new steez sv tw

I'll buy it for the line guide alone. Bout time. Curious to find out what ultimate brake and ultimate spool might be.

Re: Fluoro on Gekkabijin

Those of you who are using the Ray's deep spool in your Gekka, are you using the SV or fixed inductor style? Has anyone used both? I'm thinking about getting one to toss light cranks top water, and jerkbaits (3/16 oz ish) on my Evergreen Orion Lightning Strike. I like the consistency of a fixed roto...

Re: Aldebaran 23 BFS Frame Material

How much 6/7lb fluoro can you stick on this spool? Does it cast with more ease and distance than the Daiwa offerings?... Gekka, 23 finesse SV TW
I've seen and read many times that this is the BFS king, but... I'm a Daiwa guy.

Which Roro spool are you running?
This one.

Have you tried using fluoro with it by any chance?

Re: Finesse/BFS reel for distance casting?

FWIW, I ordered another Roro spool for my old Steez. After using the 1st spool for a few weeks, I liked it. I mostly use 3/8oz to 3/4oz baits, so I really don't need BFS spools, but I have 6 or 7 Steez reels that are 12 to 15 years old. It's about time to get some new spools. :D The lightest bait I...

Re: Finesse/BFS reel for distance casting?

Gekkabijin!! For 2-5 gram baits it is is going to be very difficult to find something that casts farther. I use light braid(8#) >FG> to a 25’ Tatsu 6# leader with excellent success. Wrecked the smallmouth on the river today including a 3.3# on a Zman Tubez+1/24 oz jighead. What a fight! Casting is ...

Re: Jackall Revoltage

Is JDM Tackle Heaven the only vendor that would carry the current Revoltage? Tackle Haven seems to be the only place to get many of the JDM rods. With $100 shipping, I just wait until I can buy a minimum of two models. I've thought about emailing JLS to see if he is getting them in. Being these are...

Re: Guide choice

5s aren't really considered micro. Personally, I'd go with titanium rings and whatever inserts you prefer. For a BFS rod, I think it's fine to go with a size 5.5 stripper guide (only double foot necessary), and 5s the rest of the way up. Not a fan of recoils myself.

Re: Casting Ned Rig rod

I've got a Point Blank 69MLXF that is a lot of fun with a 1/10 ounce head and 3" Ned Roboworm. I'm casting to docks, rocks and shallow target a lot of the time. I use an Alphas reel and 6-8lb Sniper. I step up to a 1/8 ounce head when I am fishing a little deeper. Anything deeper than 15 feet and I...

Re: Casting Ned Rig rod

The Phenix K2 683ml is literally the perfect rod for this. Tip angle, speed, reserve power - it's all just right imo.

Re: ML bottom contact rod recommedation

If you can find a used one the Sedition Cristobal is a top notch mag Ml rod with incredible feel, balance, cosmetics and length. It casts incredibly well baits in that 1/4 to 3/8 oz range such as 1/4 jig with a trailer. https://i.postimg.cc/ZqDHjJHx/0-C81-D793-43-E2-4150-933-E-AA04533-DF375.jpg htt...

Re: 34 mm daiwa long casting spool

Quick add...popped a few good bass at Jefferson Springs recreational area this morning, including a 20" skinny female. I tried the following combos. Tested the 1010 in the Steez Limited SV 105 with 15 Defier and a 3/8 Buddha Baits Pop Fire...it's very good, but not same level as the SV105 Limited s...

The new Revoltage use least amount 1100/M40 and it is made in China. The rods about 2xxxx yens cheaper than Glorious. I expect it is better than Expride with better blank.
Sounds about right 👍
