I'm on the prowl for a dedicated 1/4 oz finesse jig/bottom contact casting rod. Total bait weight=8-12 grams... Has anyone experience with the Shimano Expride 72ML(A or B?) and would it have have sufficient power? If I had $600 I'd just get the Daiwa Steez AGS 'The Sensor'...but on paper the Sensor...

One thing I have noticed is that these rods a smidge heavier in weight than others of same length and power ratings that incorporate the T1100G and M40X.

The SIC guide train could play a role in that.

The street price for the new Jackall Revoltage is about 28000 to 31000 :D For a rod with To 1000 and M40x, the price is too good to be trure. Since my last post, I have done great with the Jackall Deraspin in 3/8. It is a smaller profile, but only also has 1 blade, so the 3/8 version can run fairly deep. They also have a 1/4 version and a lot of good colors.
