Re: Fluorocarbon increases depth???

Thinnr the line the deeper the bait runs, no matter what it's made of. Fluoro isn't going to sink when it's under tension. Mono is still going to want to float under tension which will creat lift on the bait. I've never noticed mono or braid float once surface tension is broken. Exactly. People tha...

Re: Nanofill knots

I've used the line a lot and go with the Palomar and have never had it slip. Does anyone have a link that clearly shows how to tie the double Palomar knot? I looked one time and found several different ways to tie it.

best brick and mortar tackle shop

Just curious what the best shop you guys have ever been in? I'd have to say mark's outdoors in B-ham. In a store that's not all that big they have more tackle rods and reels than anywhere else I've ever been. More selection than bps, cabelas, and gobbler mountain combined. They have lots of Japanese ...

Does/Did anyone have CH100Mg? Reviews?

I have a friend who is selling a Chronarch 100MG that has the original box and paperwork for $150. Reel has some boat rash but not much. Do you think this is a good deal and/or what did you think about using this reel?

"supertuning" drags

After working on a pile of reels from many different manufacturers I've noticed that on out of 25+ casting reels all but a handful have black and brown marks all over the main gear, mainly on surfaces that are in contact with the drag washers. This does seem to be a touch more common with shimanos, ...

Looking for help with P Line

I fish every chance I get, always have, always will (lord willing). Fishing and the equipment we use is a never-ending experiment and part of the fun. I have been a lifelong Trilene user, mostly XT since I fish with casting equipment the majority of the time. I was wondering if anyone reading this c...

Re: Daiwa Samurai

I bought a spool of 55 a few years ago. Soft, limp, quiet, like everyone says. I did have a problem with more backlashes, especially when skipping baits. Also problems with the line wrapping guides and rod tips. I talked to a buddy of mine who fishes one of the two big tours and he says he loves it ...
