Re: Revenge Swim Jig with Keitech Trailer
I use the 4in easy for my homemade shad imatation swimjig fishing, but a 4in regular impact for bluegill imitation because i use the pro staff special color which they don't make in the easy shiner. all options of keitechs make for great swim jig trailer.

Re: Favorite finesse jigs
I tie my own finesse jigs. I usually tie bucktail under the silicone. the added flair and natural look help draw bites in clear water situations. I usually tie them on a simple round head with either no or a fine weed guard. If I was to buy store bought jigs i'd probably go with Ikes jig.

Re: Go to jigs for largemouth
I tie my own jigs but don't pour my own heads. I use elken of idaho for my jig head needs. He makes nice heads for all of my needs, swim jigs, ledge hair jigs, football jigs, casting and flipping. I like to get out early in the season with hair and he makes nice small 1/16-1/4oz versions of all my f...

Re: Chipped paint on jig heads
get some SHARPIE permanent markers black, brown, green and color your jigheads. not super durable but will last a few trips, when you finish take a little dab oh scent, megastrike, and rub it over the head to cover the marker smell

Re: Easy Shiner, Swing Impact which ones for you
I like the easy better, more natural for the clear water I fish. I do fish a 4in regular impact on my bluegill swim jigs in the pro staff special simply because they don't make the shiner in that color. smallmouth seem to fall for the shiner more often than the impacts as well

Re: Wintertime fun
Not much else to do up north than to tie a few dozen jigs. However, It has been warm in Jersey thus far, actually caught a fish on Christmas afternoon on a homemade hair jig. Those are some nice jigs, I love combining hair and silicone. Enjoy your cold winter from one tier to another

Re: Pond improvement
In an old pond fish might become stunted from years and years of inbreeding. If you introduce a few bass from other waters it might improve the growth rate of the fish.

Re: Cabin Creek spider parts
Smalljaw is correct with the size, 2-2.5in for small and 3-3.5 for the large. Smallmouth will eat the small ones all day long. They are great little baits and being they come in parts you can mix and match colors tops and bottoms.

I did it:( a 4 hr trip on toho. Being a seasoned angler I thought I could fool some big girls with plastic. Should've went shiner fishing if I wanted a fish of a lifetime. Oh well was a cool experience.

Re: Fish Disney?
My wife said I can't pack a flippin stik so i'd have to get a guide, I'll check Disney's site. Senko's and french fries? Hmmmm, Salty, not durable, slow fall, straight and boring looking. Wow, never thought that's were Gary got the idea for the Senko from. Don't get me wrong I love me some Senko's. ...

Fish Disney?
I'm going to Disney later this month and have heard that I could get a guide to take me out on a local lake. Does anyone have experience with this. I'd really like to catch a Florida Strain Bass! Thanks in advance.

Re: Hair jig trailers?
Preacher jigs are 6-7inches long, with long feathers that act as a trailer. For small cold water hair jigs, I tie in 1 or 2 rabbit zonker strips to act as tails. You don't get the desired action out of plastic in the cold weather, that's why hair jigs are so effective compared to silicone jigs in ic...

There's a perfect PACA color for any jig on planet earth. When I want a larger profile I use a paca craw instead of a chunk.

Re: Megabass Vision 110????
the old pro blue and a discontinued Mossback yellowfin tail from 2001 when they first came out. If you find them on e-bay they go for 100 greenbacks. Really hurts when you break a bill off. I bought quite a few a long while ago and I'm very careful where I fish them.
