Re: The Highest Example – The Edge Epitome Rods from Gary Loomis
Curious which casting models will sport the full length grip as mentioned in the article.

Re: The Ultimate Abu Garcia Reel for BFS? The Limited Run LX992Z
Both spools are listed in the spec… legit design rod is written up and awaiting publication ;) Look forward to that one. So not a big difference in line capacity between spools. I like how the shallow bfs spool still holds more line than most dedicated bfs reels. 80 of 8 is about perfect for my out...

Unfortunate that these are difficult to source, as it's definitely a reel I wouldn't mind getting my hands on. The line capacity specs listed - Which spool?
On a side note, what did you think of that Legit Design rod?

Perhaps I'm not paying close enough attention, but it seems like the bulk of the rods you guys review are heavy and extra heavy. How about some love for the mediums and medium lights.

Won't be long before the Steez runs a grand. The Zenon rods might be nice.

Re: Extending Their Line of Premium Baits : The Erie 95 SD by Nishine Lure Works
This really is a fantastic bait. I find myself reaching for it often than many others. Excellent, versatile action that gets bit for me. I think it's one of the best jerkbaits I've had.

That's too bad about the excessive coating on the blank, as well as the TCS reel seat. I wonder if their new 5 piece travel rods have the same thing going on

Re: Round Reel Refinement - The JDM Daiwa Millionaire CT SV70
There's been a bit of mixed feelings upon members, regarding this reel. Not that it's necessarily bad, but a poorer performer in comparison to the other CT 70 reels. I've been on the fence for a while now. Those damn orange spacers drive me a bit nutty. It's a bit of an odd ball, being that it's a g...

Re: Purple Reign : Phenix's Reinvigorated M1 is a Winner
So the new M1 actually still uses the same Nanolite resins. The carbon fiber is actually a new upgraded scrim. Things like Carbon Fiber and resins seem to advance as much as cell phones and other gadgets. There’s always something new and improved, and the raw materials used on the new M1 fit that m...

Re: Purple Reign : Phenix's Reinvigorated M1 is a Winner
Is this a a newly designed blank, or a 2nd generation built around the original, with the heightened sensitivity coming from the new handle design? I also don't like the placement of the hook keeper. If it's a new blank, I may have to call Phenix and order one. Sounds like a 6 to one, half dozen to...
