These are by far my favorite snaps out there. Very simple to use. I ALWAYS use it for all of my hard swimbaits.

Re: Spike-it
Spike it works and is ok imo. But if you are really trying to penetrate dark colors I would recommend JJ's Magic . There is a reason it comes in a glass bottle... Best penetrating dye I have used hands down, just don't spill any. they have some videos...skip to the bottom ones http://www.jjsm...

Re: Lost fish...???
It could have been a knot tying issue or some sort of knick on the line. That's why it's always best to always check your knots before each and every cast. I know it's annoying sometimes, but you never want to lose a fish. For me, the knot is your only connection between you and the fish so a little...

Re: Swimbait Fishing and Economics...???
Well I guess I'll be the first to give my opinions on this then. I don't think swimbaits are TOO expensive like you've mentioned when you put that into perspective with everything else in bass fishing. I am a college student and I don't have tons of money to spend on baits and therefore I try to buy...

Re: Tatula
Very interesting reel. I'm assuming it will cost around $250? Can anyone confirm this? It looks like it might be the competitor to the new shimano reels that are coming out. So why is shimano not showing us any pics like Daiwa is? Darn, the suspense is killing me.

Re: Centurion Mind Mother Rod
Has anyone tried this rod, for throwing LARGE Swimbaits? I am looking to get something to stand up to these monster baits :D What size baits are you trying to throw? I'm a giant fan of Dobyns swimbait rods in that they have that soft tip action that is unparalleled when it comes to casting giant ba...

Re: shimano reel knob choices
Why don't you just go with the septon power grip knobs that come stock on the shimano chronarch reels? Those are my favorite knobs to date. Super comfortable and when wet it sticks better to your hands.

Re: Dobyn's DX 742c, need some help guys.
I've used quite a few dobyns rods. In my opinion you should go with the DX742 rod. The thing with Dobyns rods is that amazing soft tip section that can seriously launch baits out there. I've used the 742, 743, and 744 in the extreme lineup and actually don't like the 743 as much. I much prefer the 7...

Re: Jackall Seira Minnow
I've been fishing this bait for a while now and it has drawn a lot of fish to it. However, the bass would always follow it 2-3 feet behind and turn away when it gets close to shore. I've tried pausing, jerking and varying retrieve speed to no avail. Does anyone have any tips for making this work? T...

Re: Outside the box Thoughts
I've heard that shimano is coming out with some NEW reels finally that will satisfy us Shimano Followers. I hope it's worth it. I'm a giant fan of shimano, but I'm not fond of their G series reels.

Re: Shimano Chronarch 100d5 vs Chronarch 200e5
There is no competition here. Shimano decided to downgrade their rods and reels. The chronarch D models were in my opinion one of the best reels out there at that price point. It was super smooth and could handle everything including swimbaits. I would suggest that you get this reel and forget about...

Feel free to dip plastics overnight with JJ's magic. It works freaking awesome. The only horror story is if you open up the scent inside the house or you bring it super close to your nose.  It doesn't work for all types of plastics. I know that the Strike King 3x elaztech plastics will fa...

Re: Core 50MG7 on a Dobyns DX743 - Good match
In my opinion, the most versatile rod in the Dobyns lineup is the 744 for lures 1/2oz and up. For everything up to 1/2oz, the 743 is the best option. I use my DX744 exclusively for jigs/heavy t-rigs.
