Re: Reels made in Japan vs made in China, does it matter?

Hello, Now that I confirmed the bearing count in the Ballistic, my dilemma is choosing between the Made in Japan Daiwa Luvias 3012H or Made in China Daiwa Ballistic EX 3000. Not sure how much stake I should put in the manufacturing origin of spinning reels, but if you compare it to optics such as b...

Re: JDM Purchase

Japan Lure Shop does not communicate. Don't know about Digitaka. To be honest I've never once had to communicate with a JDM retailer. Over 40 orders (digitaka, plat, jpangler, bassjp, japanlureshop, samurai, and ichiban) and one has never gone wrong lol. While on the other hand I've had issues requ...

Re: Please tell me a lefty Curado I for cranking is coming

Well, I thought that I had found my favorite freshwater cranking and inshore casting reel in the Chronarch 201E5. I bought two the year they first came out and have found them to be excellent plugging reels for snook and other inshore species, combining a powerful retrieve ratio with all day palmin...

Re: Easiest casting baitcaster

However, the absolute best reel I have ever used when it comes to ease of casting is the Magforce 3D found on Daiwa T3 1016 series of reels. I've got 2 of them and an MX. They are the only reels I can cast with zero brakes on. What setting on Magforce 3D switch did you have when your brakes were of...

Re: Anyone fish for gar?

I lost couple good poppers because of gars. They just cut the braid line. I know people use untangled rope to catch them. It is quite challenging to incite them to bite. You have to spot a gar first, this sight fishing game only (if you use that rope). Many guys shoot those gars with bow and arrow a...

Re: Easiest casting baitcaster

I would suggest Daiwa reels with SV spool. So popular Alphas SV for example. T3, Megabass FX73, Steez, Alphas.
Once those reels properly dialed in you can cast as hard as you can - no overruns.

Re: Broke my MB X7.....

Not a great experience for sure. Still, if 99 of 100 won't have any issues and save 40%,50% or more buying in Japan, it save tons of money for the rest. Risk is still very minimal. I would contact jpangler, and Megabass Japan (it's better to call them, sometimes they don't reply on e-mails. If Megab...
