50th Anniversary Zillion side plate screw needed please
I somehow managed to loose a side plate screw on my left handed 50th Anniversary Zillion. It's the one closest to the thumb bar. Not sure if it's the long or short one. I emailed daiwa but have not heard back from them as yet. I was wondering if anyone on here would have any lying around. I would be...

Re: Aaron Martens leaves Megabass
From a business standpoint, maybe his accountant looked at market shares. I bet the genaral public buy a lot more white and yellow rods than Megabass rods. The masses is where the money is at. Most people cant afford Megabass rods or wont part with the money, not that that really had any thing to do...

Congratulations! Me too, still use it to this day. I put a Chronarch 101SF handle on it. The one they come with is a little short.

Re: Most Sensitive Megabass Rod?
I own many rods from the original destroyer line up to the X7 series. In my opinion the most sensitive rod for jigs and T-rigs from 1/4 to 3/4 is the Evoluzion line. http://pic20.picturetrail.com:80/VOL1872/7933416/24327362/409422865.jpg In particular the 6'8 diablo and the 7' jig and Texas rod. If ...

Received an X7 western flip yesterday. Came nicely packaged in a pvc Rod tube. 35 dollars shipping. 57 dollars in taxes.

Re: Catches fish as good or better than a senko
How are you guys fishing the flukes. Like a senko. Cast it out and let it sink? Dead stick with slow pulls? I fished Falcon for a few years and we texas rigged them on bottom. Weirdest thing. Just soaked them.

Any of the Megabass F5.1/2 XTI rods especially the Red Demon. A longer version of the Super Diablo jig and Texas rod. The most sensitive rods I have ever fished jigs or t rigs on.

Re: Megabass Destroyer Evoluzion
Anyone get one of these yet? Just wondering on your thoughts. I love the original series, hopefully these will be just as sensitive if not better. I like the different lengths as we'll.

Some pictures to share
Here are some shots from the last few weeks. Been fishing like crazy. Boat shot was taken May 6, first day out on Erie. It was a hairy ride for three days as the ice cleared the Niagara River. 6# plus Smallies are from clients caught on jerk baits on Lake Erie. Double header Bowfin. One on a crank a...

Looking for the clicker piece on a Stradic 2500mgB
I have two 2500 series stradic mgB spinning reels and both have broken clicker pieces. They screw to the inside of the spool and ride on a gear to make the drag noise. I checked online sites like Mikes Reel repair and they are not even included on the schematic drawing. Any idea where I might be abl...

Re: TX worm rod - which of these 2 would you choose?
You want to get the ultimate t-rig and jig rod, look at the original Evoluzion, new big taper or new stage 2 series F5.5-68xti or 70xti diablo series. Hands down the most sensitive rods ever. Better than NRX in my opinion. It has to be the titanium strands. The bites are electrical on slack line tec...

Re: Line watching and casting distance with Senkos
I fish a lot of Senkos in the summer in a very clear river system. A long cast is essential in success. I use a G loomis Mossyback Bcr893 which is a 7'5" extra Fast rod. The long rod allows you to keep the braid off the water so you can watch it better. You will also feel it better if you keep direc...

Re: Tatula levelwind grooving
I have been told that the grooving happens more on tip down retrieves like crankbaiting. It has to do with the way the line angle re entering the spool.

Re: handle length by technique?
I am building a G Loomis GLX blank now and extending the handle to make the rod 7'8". I am going through that same issue. I am 6' tall and found that the best handle length was one inch from my elbow. I will be using the rod to cast t-rigs. I like bracing the rod against my forearm as well.
