Re: Stradic Ci4 vs. Pflueger Patriarch magnesium spinning
I own calcuttas, curados, a calais, and two older white stradics. For freshwater finesse bass fishing, the Stradic CI4 2500 is the best reel money can buy, period. I plan on getting at least 3 more of them, they're that good. They are light as hell, they manage line as good as any spinning reel out ...

Re: Great news MN, BPS!
This news is like from 2006. Since then i've heard it was a no-go, due to BPS wanting to sell guns at the largest mall in the country. Minnesota has the more anglers than any other state, by FAR. Re: Drop Shotting
Have you ever used a finesse baitcaster? Pitching and casting 1/16 oz baits is easy, especially with a quality FC like Sniper FC in #7. On Erie, which the OP is asking about, most drop-shot presentations are completely vertical or dragged...the drop really doesn't matter much. You aren't casting fo...

Re: Drop Shotting
The key with drop shotting is to use thin braid (15lb power pro for me) and do a fluoro leader. Use high quality line line like tatsu or actual fluoro leader material which is stiff and stronger than mainline fluoro. Tie directly line-to-line with an alberto knot. With braid, line twist can be igno...

Re: Trouble Staying hooked up on Hollow Body Frogs!
Hold the reel high near your head when setting the hook w/ the rod tip as high as possible, pulling the fish out of the water. You don't want to pull the fish through the weeds, you want to pull him out of the water and the weeds. Use 65lb or even 80lb test. If the fish heads deeper into the weeds a...

Re: Your favorite technique for bronzebacks?
Nothing like tossing weightless plastics on shallow rockpiles, watching the line move off on the initial fall.
