i used to take a couple rattle traps and put them in a pan of hot water on the stove. It makes them run a bit shallower and sink a little slower also. I would keep it and fish it, it may become your next favorite.

50 lbs fx2 for frogs and 40 lbs 832 for jigs is what I have used this past year with no problems.

One of my local retailers has a brand new in the box Shimano DHSV. I was just wondering what you guys would value this reel at. I know it is a past model by a few years and is heavy but built tough. I am thinking of maybe using it for my frog rod. thanks for all replies both good and not so good
