Re: Chronach G

This is for those that want to use a Chronarch for fresh and salt water. The Chronarch MGL is designed for freshwater due to the lightweight Magnumlite spool. Ok time to spill the rest of the beans lol... Ya ... I hit him up not to leave us hanging in the rumor mill thread and he didn't bite ! The ...

But I've been hearing about a inshore designated reel to be released at Icast that could be in the form of a Curado or possibly a Chronarch.

Re: Whats your smoothest reel

I have a Steez EX100XS 7.9 gear (brass) that's crazy smooth and one of my 4 SV103XS's that's a close second if not right there at it. Its hard to define a reel brand or model as smoothest IMO when 1 copy of the exact reel can be smoother than the other. Unless you have multiple copies of the same re...

Any new info on a inshore reel [-o< ? or is it just going to be that the new Curado will be salt safe ?

Re: Metanium mgl vs chronarch mgl thread

Quick question-why is the chronarch mgl recommended as a freshwater only reel, while the met mgl is listed as fine to use in saltwater? I'd post this in the shimano support section and see what answer you get. Hope this hasn't already been discussed and I missed it. I've read some speculations as t...

Re: Where are the shimanos?

I basically stole this at another forum. Brand new in the box. Has everything it came with from the factory. I don't know if I can spool this little gem up. For now she sits on the display rack. Great grab ! Congrats ! Yes that was a awesome price. I was lurking on that one as I knew it wouldn't la...

Shimano 2017 Icast rumor mill ...

Shimano 2017 Icast rumor mill ... Well I believe we can all see a new Curado 200 on the way. Any new info ? But I've been hearing about a inshore designated reel to be released at Icast that could be in the form of a Curado or possibly a Chronarch. I know the Tranx 300 is out but could this equate t...

Re: Should I sell my SV spools?

My daiwa SS SV seems to under perform,I guess it needs a good flush and cleaning. I believe this platform is the most restrictive of the SV reel/spool combinations. Even with a flush and cleaning the inductor and magnets seem to be the main factor in this reel. Maybe others will chime in to clarify...

Re: Should I sell my SV spools?

Yes, the braking profile of the SV is stronger than most at the end of the cast making you feel like you are losing distance, but I'm not losing much distance over other spools with my SV spool reels. I can only speak for the the Steez SV and SV103 reels that I own. Very few people fish in open wat...

Re: chronarch mg 50 bearings

There are multiple options but this is one of my favorites for the Ch50. It has 1 bearing per knob and 1 bushing (non replaceable) but you go from a 80mm handle to a 84mm (considered standard length in most cases) and gain the addition of Power Grip II knobs. Between the added length and size displa...
