Float rods and centerpins are pretty much the prime tools for catchin salmon/steelhead here in Ontario (Canada) rivers. Hey guys,

lookin to expand my horizens in fishing and who better to ask than the pros (you)? jus curious how you guys fish flukes/horny toads, weightless texas? wacky? Appreciate any help you can give.

If you're primarily a trout fisherman, I'd generally stick with spinning gear. Spinning gear will allow you to more easily pitch the small/light offerings that we trout fisherman use without having to pay the price for a top of the line super finesse baitcaster. personally i use a shimano calcutta 251 and a 10'6 mh shimano convergence baitcaster out here on great lakes rivers and love both. for your purposes, perhaps a calcutta 400 and a matching rod would be more suitable?
