Neither!
I vote the C2500S for a Landsat. Even lighter and even finer drag.

Re: sunline almight?
Running the #0.6 on a reel and it’s been great so far. I had run the Defier D braid sinking before and I prefer the Almight. I wouldn’t say the sinking characteristic is night and day different between the two (even though I feel like I should notice it more) but the Almight has better color, casts ...

Re: Travel Rod : Studio Composite Versus North Fork
I can cast a 3/8oz buzzbait on the 7606-5. The 3 power Transworld is like a medium power casting rod and not suited for heavy cover, 40# braid, and baits up to 2.5oz.
I would only recommend the 61105-5 or 7606-5 for the application you listed.

Re: Travel Rod : Studio Composite Versus North Fork
Transworld by far and make sure you go up in rod power as the Transworlds tend to be a way on the lighter side. For what you’re talking about doing I would recommend a 5 or 6 power Transworld. I fish a 7606-5 a lot and feel like you’d be a lot happier with the 5 or 6 power. Do not buy a 3 power for ...

23 Exist SF (Super Finesse)
The new lightweight, light(ish) line king? If you own a 22 Exist you pretty much know what to expect with additional weight reduction and reduced inertia. Certainly goes head to head with the 23 Vanquish with pluses and minuses between the two in the ultra-lightweight top tier. SF2500SS with a Steez...

Re: 2023 Steez “Real Control” Rods
How’s the solid tip itself? Is it pretty spongy? I’m normally not a fan of ST rods and had this been full tubular it would have been hard to pass up. My S68MH is wildly sensitive and a blast to fish. It fit seamlessly into the starting rotation and I feel it’s a noticeable upgrade from the the RD an...

Re: 2023 Steez “Real Control” Rods
Bunch more fish on the S68MH. Absolutely love this rod and yes it has electric sensitivity. They’re not perfectly apples to apples but for me the Real Control S68MH fishes even a slight step up in sensitivity from the Racing Design S67ML+ (which I have a ton of time on). I much prefer the significan...

Re: 2023 Steez “Real Control” Rods
Quick review on the S68MH. Very impressed. It’s not just plain black! Has a slight gunmetal sparkle to the grip material, significant holo-sparkle on the reel seat and blank above, clean gloss black in the blank on the butt end. The carbon guide wraps are gorgeous. Might not be for everyone but look...

Re: Evergreen Giant Direwolf
Almost a year in, everything is still accurate except I’d say the top end bait weight is probably around 4-5oz. A 6+ ounce bait you can still throw just fine but I don’t like how spongy it gets casting above those weights (personal preference). It’s my understanding that the “longer” model coming ou...

Anyone grab one of these yet and have some feedback on how they compare to the Racing Designs or Steez AGS?

Re: 2023 Steez “Real Control” Rods
I think the RC 68MH is just starting to fill pre-orders. Im not even sure if any consumers have them yet at this point. I’m in the same boat with those same two rods. Been a longtime EG and RD user and so far for me anyway, based on the digging I’ve done, I would give the slight edge to the RC rods ...

Re: 2023 Steez “Real Control” Rods
The RC S61L weighs 57 grams. 57! That’s astoundingly light and currently using all of Daiwa’s flagship tech. I appreciate there are PG fans out there, I fish an Ultima 266L-5 that does use *some* undisclosed amount of M40X in the spiral X, but I’m not going to compare apples to oranges with the PG s...
