18 Daiwa Zillion HLC

Looks like they revamped this model, to it's detriment.
HD frame (including ugly sideplate), Deeper HlC spool, Carbon Handle, no purple, no cork grips, no magseal and more expensive...

Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's

Figured there would be a price drop on the 2015 JDM Exist, but didn't think I would get it at >$450 TMD  Levante Shakey head does not do it justice. So secured a MB Shorluck Limited 7'6L (more of a ML according to the limited reviews I found) that is on it's way. http://jpangler.com/index.php...

Re: **Megabass IS platforms upgraded with ZPI spools**

Those simply look amazing Cristo. Glad to hear that the performance is on par with the beauty. I really would like to get optional shallow spools for my Morethan, Battler and HLC. Looking at ZPI's suitability chart, it shows NO spools for Daiwa! Although the spool page does show some options. The Ba...

Re: Looking at the New BG reels

That is a beefstick. I would consider the 6500 with the 33lb drag. I have the Saltist, which is the Magsealed version. It's pretty amazing.

Re: **Megabass IS platforms upgraded with ZPI spools**

Cristo..those are simply amazing looking. I will eventually jump on a megabass reel. My only hesitaiton so far is they seem to fit in the catagory of "style over substance". (don't get me wrong, I like style!) Performance wise both stock and upgraded, how would you compare a Megabass reel to Daiwa a...

I haven't gathered my thoughts on the combo's functionality yet. Still dizzy from the cosmetic glory.

Re: Hyuga 72M

My suggestion to anyone who is interested is to wait until TTT has it available. As I kinda of expected from the discription on JLS, they requested (in a very poor english email) an additional 2900 YEN on top of the 2000 YEN at time of checkout. That put the rod a tad over $200 delivered, still a re...

Re: Megabass Destroyer T.S POKER

Very wise words of advice Cristo. I actually took the plunge this morning via TTT before looking for any responses to my post. Certainly paying to play as I don't have $600 to toss around. My reservation for the purchase, was still not so much the money but the fact that it is hard to find any subst...

Re: Megabass Destroyer T.S POKER

Thanks for the feedback. Was really hoping to come across a 9/10 used one that someone is willing to part ways with for the right price. I have a Daiwa Battler on the way from AU and need something stellar to mount it on! If I can't find a good used one, looks like I will be bucking 600 ponies at TT...

Hyuga 72M

Just purchased the Hyuga 72M to pair with a Tatula SV TW 8.1 as a budget power finesse combo. Hope all of the purple does not scare away the fish. It was one of the few, if not the only 1 piece Megabass rod that was over 7ft. and had a lighter power rating. (Although I have no idea what the power ra...

Megabass Destroyer T.S POKER

I have had my eye on a T.S Poker for some time. I now have a reel on the way that I think will pair well with it, but I am still trying to figure out what all will WORK WELL with a 7'2, fast taper, 1/2 oz to 3 oz stick. For anyone who has one, or are very familiar with the rod some thoughts and feed...
