They did the same thing with the Fuego.. :evil:

Not really an issue if you choose to swap out the handle all together, but it is a bit of a bummer.

It's true that the ito is tuned for better casting, but I haven't noticed much difference between either of the 3 reels with heavier lures, like I have with lighter lures. Yup... actually, with all the supertuned Daiwa reels (Type R and Type R+ tuning), the intent is to improve casting performance ...

Instead of switching my scorpion mg 1001 from one rod to another (St Croix, PC66MF2 10-17 lbs, 1/4 - 3/4 and Shimano Crucial CRC-D70M), I decided to buy one more baitcasting reel for one of both reels.
