Re: China/aliexpress gear?

Has anyone tried the fly fishing rods from China? I know there are some decent casting rods for a good price like the kuying rods so I wonder if those rods can be good budget rods or whether they are just garbage. I have ordered 2 from MaxCatch but haven't received them yet. I ordered a 9' 6wt and ...

Re: SV Light Limited

From all the 32mm spools, I prefer the SS Light Limited the best. I'm probably the odd ball here, but I didn't like the reel as much as I wanted to. Though not as bad, it still has that somewhat hollow and toyish feel that the SS SV has. The paint wasn't all that great either. Just my 2 cents. I ke...

Re: SV Light Limited

Bringing this topic back to life. I just picked a SV light LTD and would also like to know if there is a higher capacity spool available to use on this reel? Like Poisonokie already said this is a awesome reel but it’s a finesse reel for sure and it excels at being that, I have mine on a Phenix Fea...

Older Steez EX 100HS spool help ????

I just purchased used on eBay a Daiwa SS SV 103HL that came with a Steez EX 100 spool. I have 7.1 gears from a SS SV 103SHL that I'm going to install in it and plan to use this reel for topwater trebble baits like Wopper Ploppers, poppers and stick baits. What I would like to know is how does this s...

Re: Let's see that backlash!

This is a good reason to use braid. Never had a backlash that couldn’t be sorted out. Love some fluoro for certain things, but bushwhacking is not one of them. A buddy wrapped his PowerPole micro with braid on the backswing recently. By the time I made it over to him, he had already started cutting...
