Re: Steez Air vs Steez CT w/shallow spool
Very impressive results! I bought that Roro spools also before last christmas, but haven't tested it yet. No need to buy Steez air then. My personal opinion is if you have a CT, just get the Roro. If you are strictly going to buy a CT to put a Roro spool in it and ONLY use the Roro...I would ...

Re: Daiwa Steez Air 2020
It's really hard to find a baitcaster for this kind of fishing...hopefully they're start to produce some! For now,I'm trying spinning rods, and,if its feet, redo it to casting. What kind,it's depend what lure you used. I prefer stiff rods with good amount of carbon (95-98%),and which loading at least 5...

Re: Daiwa Steez Air 2020
Any update on the new KTF spool?
Oh,yea! "Das is fantastish!" :D I spool 100m of Gosen Tiny PE Aji #0.2,and this spool cast easy 0.5g total weight...even a 0.35g jig I'm able to cast overhead  close to 30 feet. Of course with good rod (test up to 3g)...So,I'm holding a bunch...

Take a look on my last post It's without bearingHobie-Wan Kenobi wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2020 5:54 pmAnyone weight the stock spool without the bearing?
I also wonder how the spool actually differs from the KTF aftermarket spool.

Re: Daiwa Steez Air 2020
I'm using 0.3PE braid,jig 0.6g cast about 40-45 feet,with mono 2lb go 1g total weight up to 40ft too. My brake on 5-6.I spool just 50m line.Reel in stock work good from 0.6g,and great with 0.9-1.0g...also,KTF already mare a new 28mm spool for Steez Air,weight just 5.4g (against 6.3g stock spool).My ...

Re: Tict ice cube power version ?
Kind of what I’m thinking. It looks like it would be an ultralight that handles 1/64 oz yet still has some power to move fish out of some cover. I’ll put up a quick review after I receive the rod. I have this rod, just was fishing today...1/64 8-) ,it's a bit optimistic :D ...So,rod works from 1/16 ...

Re: KTF KAHEN Spool For Steez
It's a great spool,I've used a shallow one, the best works with fluoro(mono),I was able to cast 1/32 jig with no issues on R18 (4lb,-0.165mm),also if you use a 6-8lb line,1/8 oz (or so) flying like a rocket

Thank you,Mr Ultralight ;) Yes I'm fishing with this rods, they're good for any panfish, also can handle a biggest...I don't get any big(yet  ),but my buddy get luck to bring 5-6 pounds pike on shore ,using this rods. Also, all line is a bit different, but you can feel in your hand even a smallest ...

Re: Spinning rod with baitcasting reel?
I know of at least one enthusiast who does exactly that - take longer JDM spinning UL rods and rebuild them to UL baitcasting. Really however, it is a lot of work to strip a rod down to rebuild - I've tried that before. Looks like it;s me  Yea,my friends,I did it,and continue to do this :)...

Re: ZPI Reel?
i was so excited. but then i scrolled down a few posts and saw a black Chinese manufactured Garbage 22903419234123498. Why? Why would i use a ZPI carbon handle on a reel that costs less than the handle itself? Come on! How do you know, what is inside? ZPI good with spools and handles,we're knows...b...

Re: Steez CT SV TW
It looks very nice. I agree, the new spool is interesting. However, as I have Daiwa reels with 31-34mm and 36mm spools, I do not think that I will buy yet another platform / separate spool size. Sure! To get another platform you need to know what it's for...I'm hoping Avail ,KTF or another studios ...
