Re: New Dobyn's Series
First fish on the 755, a decent 3-12...on a 5XD. I know, it’s a jig rod but we weren’t jig fishing today and I wanted to get some time with it. I also really needed the extra length to get some casts way out there. The crank rod I brought was only 7’. It performed very well on a technique is wasn’t...

Re: MB Addermine Taper
I would say It has more of a fast taper and shuts down quicker into the backbone. Awesome rod very versatile. Keeps fish pinned good for me. I've caught up to 6lb spotted bass on it so far. It has a lot more power than it looks like. I have a lot of confidence in this rod. IMG_4045.JPG IMG_4046.JPG...

MB Addermine Taper
What is the taper like on the Addermine? Is it more of a parabolic deeper bend to keep fish pinned, or is it more of a soft tip that shuts off into backbone quicker?

New Steez Ergonomics
I am looking at adding a new Steez to the lineup, specifically the Steez A TW. I have a Steez EX100 that I love, but am slightly hesitant to add the new one due to the ergonomics. How does this reel palm? I have small hands so I am picky about how the reels palm. For example, I like the way my Steez...

Re: Crankbait reel
I will cast a dissenting vote here...the Alphas Variants are hard to beat down to 1/8 oz. and they are forgiving even in the wind (not to mention, they are nearly indestructible). The 5.8 gear ratio of the Type F and OG purple people-eater is just right for cranks, too, IMHO. And they can be had in...

Re: Crankbait reel
I will be using an Alpha Angler Rebound, which will load perfectly with these baits. I love my Metaniums but was leaning towards the Zillion because of the SV spool helping out a little with the lighter baits and balsa baits when the wind picks up a little

Crankbait reel
Looking for a reel to throw crankbaits like the KVD 1.5, DT6-10, 3XD and other similar baits. Looking at either the Shimano Metanium MGL or the Daiwa Zillion SV TW. With some of those being a little lighter, which reel do you think would handle them better? I already have a few Metaniums and love th...

Re: Alpha Angler Rebound
The Rebound is the only rod I will ever use for treble hook baits. I switched over from the Megabass Orochi XX Flatside, and the Dobyns 705CB, 705CB glass, and 705CBMF glass. How would you compare the Rebound and the 705 CB glass? Those are the two I am deciding between. I have the 765 CB glass and...

New jig rod
Looking at either the Kistler Helium 3 7'4 MH/XF and the Megabass Orochi XX EMTF for a new 3/8-1/2 oz jig dragging rod in 15-45ft. Also thinking about going custom, but never have so I dont know how much rod I would get for that money. What would you guys reccommend? Thanks
