Re: Where to buy MB parts for Steez
Seems it used to be an exchange program. Now like Gary said, some dealers in the know can source parts themselves direct. They are very expensive though.

Re: Taking spooled reels on flights...
Over the last couple years I've flown to multiple states with spooled reels and never had an issue with them in carry on. They did flag my bag because of the lead weights, they needed to see them. Baits with hooks and loose hooks passed with flying colors. Anything over a size 1 we put in checked ba...

Re: Daiwa reels - gaudy or sexy?
I'm down with the flash. I personally find the muted schemes by Shimano to be boring. All about personal taste.

Re: Rods/reels you regret not buying
I just recently sold a DroogC88M-MH 7'-7" Longcast model. Excellent build quality, just wasnt the taper I was after. I have a 7'-1" H Burroughs which is a sweet old rod for sure.

Re: Rods/reels you regret not buying
When I was in college and getting into higher end gear around '01, I joined the forum and started visiting japan tackle. They had that custom td-z order page up with all those colors to choose from. $599 was almost laughable to me then. Things have changed. I'd like to have one in metallic pink. He...

Re: Educate Me on TD-Z 103GL-RZ Limited Edition
With how many fingers in front of the trigger are there reels meant to be palmed with? You are supposed to palm them while casting? I passed on one a while ago because they didn't look like something I could cast and palm but I have regrets everytime I see one. Just one, they sit low on the rod. Yo...

Re: Educate Me on TD-Z 103GL-RZ Limited Edition
I only wish there was an option to get faster gears than the 6.3:1. Hey... at the time that platform was originally made, 6.3:1 was super high speed!    Luckily the torque of the 6.3:1 set makes it perfect for winching fish from heavy cover! Maybe they were just ahead of their ...

Re: High end JDM rod recommendations
Ultima and Designo would both be at the top of my list. Designo is a blank manufacturer that used to make blanks for companies like Evergreen (anyone remember the triggerless Stingray model? ).

Re: Educate Me on TD-Z 103GL-RZ Limited Edition
The 103GL-RZ has the sub par stock rubber TD-Z washers from the factory. It does have the Steez 103SHA Duralumin R+ tuned spool stock as well as a swept star, handle, and it came with red aluminum knobs with a rubber coating that are the same shape as the champagne gold millionaire I'ze aluminum kno...

Re: TDZ guys...
With custom painting you can expect to add very little market value to your reel imo. Its more for personal taste.
