Re: 7'6" ML - M spinning rod for mid cranks

Daiwa Steez 7-6 ML/M
St. Croix 7'-6" ML XF avid walleye or Legend Tourney
Daiwa Tatula 7-6 ML/M
G. loomis 902S - 901S is too light
Shimano Expride 7-6 ML plus is also an option on my radar. Haven't fished that yet.

All winners at different price ranges.

Re: St Croix Seviin reels

Not a bad looking budget reel! Love buying American made but hard to do that with reels. For bass fishing a graphite reel doesn't bother me. I'll try one at some point.

Hey Bantam, any idea on if newly designed glx rods are in the works for the near future. Seems like its been a while since those saw a revamp.

Re: Battle damage

Totally worth fixing. Have the guides re-wrapped by a rod builder and get back to it. The EVA nick is a badge of honor they all eventually get :)

Re: Shimano 22 Expride 1610M-S

Hi there, I was in the same boat. This is a new model to the line up and I did hear from TTrap that it is a lighter version and great for jerkbaits. I will be picking one up soon.

Re: MBR782C GLX?

What Loomis spinner do you guys throw 110's on? 842S is rated to 3/8 oz. but seems like it has the power. 843S? Been trying to figure this out with the odd lure ratings.

Re: Versatile cranking rod

I have an expride 7' glass (not your typical glass rod) and a St. Croix tourney 7'4 MH MF for mid/deep divers. Both are around your price point. Especially with a sale at TW or ALF. Good luck!

Re: NRX+ 901S SJR - What are you main uses for this rod? Comparisons to other rods.

Hey, the 901S is a nice rod but very whippy feel to it. I also have the 7-6 steez and to me this rod is more powerful than 901 and 902. The steez my favorite for versatility. My guess is you'd probably like the 902S as a power under the steez. I wasn't a fan of how light in power the 901 was. I'm su...

Re: Closest match to Steez 7'6" MML

Tatula 7-6ML/M is really good. So is 7'-4" 2 piece Rebellion. I have yet to find a 7'6 rod that feels like Daiwa's offerings. No one makes one as light and versatile. Been through a lot of 7-6 rods. The new St. Croix Walleye 7-6 ML XF is also good. I have one I'm listing for sale. The new version is...

Re: New US Market Poison Ultima

Awesome sticks and a huge Shimano fan but not tempted at this range. I've been pretty shocked how nice rods have been in the $200-$500 price range but that's just me. I'm sure its an awesome rod though.

Stick with the 843C. Your splitting hairs swapping for the MB. They both are nice rods but 843C is hard to beat as a do all MH.
