Re: New Poison Adrena
if you are using that beast hook i would look at the megabass bunker buster, or the shimano expride 7'3 x hvy. i really dont like using the pool cue rods but for that freestyle with that shark gauge hook owner uses on the beast hook you are better off with more power. Ill say this i really liked the...

Re: New Poison Adrena
honestly jerkbait 22 the rod will throw them but it would not be my number 1 choice for the free style rig. I throw it quite a bit and i use to throw it on a expride 7'2 hvy which is more stout than the adrena in my hands and i had to move to a more beefy stick. Especially if you look at the owner b...

daiwa morethan 19
hey guys those of you that have used this reel is the stock spool ok with it? and what spool have you found to be a great all around spool for this reel. I mostly have shimanos but want to get some daiwas in the mix and this reel has me intrigued a bit.

Re: Expride 7'6H vs Megabass Valdivia
I have owned both the 7'6 hvy expride and valdivia. they both are great rods at the end of the day i like the expride reel seat better than the megabass, but i liked the valdivia better than the 7'6 expride blank. with the valdivia you get a unique taper with it that's awesome! the tip has softness ...

Re: Valkyrie rods
do you guys that own the valkyrie know how the sliding handle works? meaning can it sort of lock in place when set or can it just move up and down whenever it pleases. Man im having a hard time asking this lol. If i want the handle set at a certain length will it lock at that length or over a day of...

Re: Kistler vs Dobyns
like russ is saying i have fished a ton of dobyns in the past (mostly made up my arsenal). Im not bashing the company well balanced rods with a wide variety for any technique you could speak of. Sadly after looming around tackletour and getting some of the in the know rods it changed very quickly. I...

Re: Bunker Buster Review
The bunker buster also works great for flipping that's what i used it for primarily when i had it. It can do light punching as well. Also loved it for 3/4 oz swing heads with creature baits and football jigs that went 3/4 oz and over. Its a really good rod in the lineup that's overlooked in my opini...

Re: New Poison Adrena
alright got to play with the 7'2 medium regualar taper casting rod some. I paired it with a scorpion 70 ( thanks real pudd legend for the reel!!) Anyway first impressions are really good on this rod its super versatile for sure. On paper i was afraid it was just going to be a crankbait rod but upon ...

Re: My Take On Modern Vintage Casting Setup
i always scoffed at short pistol grip rods until i tried one. its so fun and effortless to roll cast and get baits in hard to reach places with them. Nice set up!

Re: New Poison Adrena
i have the 6'10 med glass and i know everyone is different in rod powers for their preferred techniques but i personally wouldnt use it for that. for me its a good smaller square bill/ med crank rod. 1.5 square bills, rapala dt6, spro rock crawler 50/55 are great baits in its wheel house. This being...

Re: What do the Japanese covet ?
when the bassmaster classic was in knoxville for 2019 the local shop i go to every once in a while for terminal tackle and some baits i regularly use comes to mind. I stopped in to talk to the owner and grab some stuff i asked him if he had been busy for the classic because he was close by but did n...
