Re: replacement knobs...

Mizmo, I see that Jim at Heartland carries the old Chronarch SF handles in 80mm as a replacement for the Scorp... price is 15.99. Is this the handle you purchased? It's the same style as the original Scorp handle (nutless) but longer. If this is the handle you purchased, with the knobs the same as t...

Re: Need another reel again.....

TackleWarehouse carries them: http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/descpageRLCDAIWA-TDZCR.html And don't get caught up in the drilled spool hype. While I too, prefer the appearance of these whiffle spools, the TD-Z Gigas spool is a very high performing spool and VERY light. Case in point, the old CV-Z's c...

Re: New Steez Tuning Parts

The right handed version of the reel is out. Supply just hasn't made its way around to our favorite e-tailers yet. Notice the knobs are compatible with the TD-Z as well. I think the seller is just taking advantage of the latest and greatest by listing them as "Steez" upgrades. Nothing on the packagi...

Re: Avail handle pics

i'm trying to decide if i want to pick up an avail handle for my 200XT... That'd be pretty sweet Zen... the handles have got to be lighter than the stock Calcutta handles... go for it! Nice job on the handles Illini. I like how they use allen wrench heads on the screws instead of a phillips or flat...

Re: p-line flouro vs. seaguar carbon pro

Keep in mind that P-Line Floroclear is a copolymer:

http://p-line.com/line/floroclear.htm

and Seaguar Carbon Pro is advertised as a 100% Fluorocarbon line

Although, it looks like P-line now has a 100% FC General use line as well

CA Delta Kicks out NEW FLW COMPETITION RECORD!

Story on FLW.com regarding Stren Series Event. Here's part of the story: Jaws dropped and eyes popped at Russo’s Marina Thursday afternoon when Sapp weighed in his 14-pound, 1-ounce fish, which – at the time – took the title as the heaviest fish ever weighed in at an FLW Outdoo...

Re: Argh help me choose!

GB,

not to confuse the issue any.. i mean, I'd never do that.. but I'm pretty certain you can remove the finish of the croix blank. Might be a pain to do, but if this is to be your "ideal" rod... i would go for that thought and find a way to remove the finish.

Re: Different types of LifeTime Warranty's don't be fooled

It seems to me that some manufactures go out of their way to exceed written warranty expectations. I call that great service and policy! ...just my experience. Chuck This is not uncommon at all and why we state in our reviews to contact the manufacturers directly regarding your warranty concerns. R...

Re: Sweetest Rod on the Market!?

Gonna be a while Nautilus... need time to fish them all in a variety of conditions in order to offer up a fair assessment. None of the import rods are truly light - that is not their goal. Rather, balance in support of specific techniques is what they strive for.
