check out these frogs
http://www.bass-frog.com/Replicants.htm Anyone using them? Not sure about the banjo style hook setup, but then again, frog hooks aren't known for their reliable hook ups either. Regardless, can't argue with his fish pics. Great colors/options and multple leg styles are nice. Unless anyone has any ba...

Re: Crankbaits -- Rattling vs. Silent
The only time I will fish a rattling CB is if the water is really muddy/murky, and i mean REALLY muddy/murky.
I've been in heaven lately, with the release of the silent norman dd22's, silent fat free shads, and now today TW just got bandit silent squarebills!

Re: Anyone tried the new Fantasista Nano?
Am I reading that right, 46ton graphite?!? I see they use fuji guides on these and evolve guides on usdm rods... I searched around but couldn't find anything on it- the abu uk site has a little pop up window for it but when you click on it, it takes you somewhere else. I'd like to find out more abou...

Re: help with supercharging my old Daiwas
Thanks humph, indeed your right, i was measuring from end to end on the handle. My other procasters are 3.25(82.55mm) while the pt33c is 3.5(88.9mm). I like the length but perhaps I will go with a longer aftermarket handle as This reel will be used exclusively for deep cranking. Thanks for the heads...

Re: help with supercharging my old Daiwas
Spyderman- looks like I posted same time as you. Thanks for the feedback, I think I'm heading in the right direction...I think. Glad to see I'm not the only one who likes these old reels, for a second I was starting to think I was alone on this. Love those TD's as well, just saw a nib, never fished ...

Re: help with supercharging my old Daiwas
Ok, it's now 4:22am and I've been reading, researching & tinkering and I think I got this under control. *Bearings*: Researching the schematics, I've got original parts numbers for the bearings and an email to daiwa and the bearing companies should yeild me the correct bearing sizes. After reading t...

Re: help with supercharging my old Daiwas
Sorry for the brief post, the coffeeshop where I was using the Internet was closing in 5 minutes so I rushed. I'm also open to any other upgrades and suggestions as well. As I said before I'm a total newb when it comes to this. Am I getting in over my head with trying to replace the bearings myself?...

help with supercharging my old Daiwas
I have a love affair with old Daiwa procasters, namely the pt33c & pt33sh. I was hoping I could do some upgrades but I can't find much info on these old tanks other than the schematics. I was hoping I could get some guidance and help here as having these guys supercharged would be a dream come true....
