My opinion, get the regular MBX. Unless you realy like burlwood, it saves about $30.00 and like you said, same blank, guides. Too, I like the look better with the EVA, rubber cork, and checker pattern better!

Just got my hand on a new custom wrapped Phenix T46, micro guides, 7'1" MH complete at less than 82 grams!!! it has a Chronarch 50mg and balances right at the front reel seat! AWESOME!!

It's not a cellophane, the finish is actually lassored onto the rod! Got lucky! I didn't know they would be selling them there.
